Hailing from Leicester in the UK, 9 o’clock Nasty are an alternative rock outfit that takes a side-eyed look at the world and punishes it with their driving beats and mild sarcasm. With their trademark sound of gritty guitar work, energising rhythms and often tongue-in-cheek lyricism, they’ve carved out a reputation as an exciting UK rock band offering a new sound.
Since making their studio recording debut last year with the debut EP Dank, they’ve had a prolific output of music, dropping a further seven releases throughout 2021. Showing no sign of slowing down, this year they’ve already released a new EP and four more singles since.
Their most recent effort comes with the single “Team Player”, a song written about the gatherers and the leaders with the band offering a soundtrack for those with a differing point of view about such people. Aiming to make a razor-sharp and punching sound, on their most recent single they deliver a swaggering rock cut with tinges of old school hip hop in it’s vocal delivery and sonic aesthetic.
Continuing to fulfil their artistic vision with more music on the horizon, 9 o’clock Nasty have a brand new single dropping on Saturday titled “I’m Bent”. They’ve also linked with the band I Am The Unicorn Head on a collaborative single, “Existential Dread”, set to drop this September.
