Based in the Polish city of Gdańsk, Snakedoctors is a four-piece rock outfit formed by a group of friends in 2020. Over the last two years, they’ve dropped an impressive eighteen singles and four full-length records.
Making waves in Poland and beyond already, their single “Close That Door” has claimed the #1 spot on the Radio Olsztyn Top 40 chart for thirty straight weeks as well as topping the Radio Ostrowiec Top 20 list. Gaining radio support across the UK, USA and various countries in South America as well, they’ve been going from strength-to-strength as they continue their journey as a new band with an astonishing sonic output.
Flowing through various different styles and genres, they touch on new wave, dark wave, post-punk, shoegaze and grunge to deliver their guitar-driven sound. Working with the regulars of Abbey Road Studios and Metropolis Studios, as well as professionals who have worked with the likes of Depeche Mode, Yazoo, The Cure, The Mission, The Kinks, Jane’s Addiction, David Bowie and Spoon, they link up with female vocalists to feature on their songs and add new flair to their work.
Having recently released their new double-sided album Four and a Half, they now bring us the fourth single from the record with “B Song”. The single is in fact a remix by the band’s vocalist and guitarist Wojciech of a grunge track of the same name and involved the renowned Joe Gibb in the production.
Incorporating much of the electronic instrumentation styles of their previous single “Friday Night”, with “B Song (WW Remix)” they offer a moody new wave sound that serves as the second side of the story from “A Song”. Paired with the single is a music video shot in Belgrade featuring black and white city scenes to reflect the vibe of the song.
