Fresh from an extensive month of touring as a support act for both Kid Wave and Johnny Marr, Manchester based three piece Man Made released their new EP last week, pleasing fans with the news that they’ll be releasing a full album in 2016. The three track EP ‘Bring Some’ includes the catchy track of the same name, ‘Don’t Thank God’ and ‘Everything and All of This’.
The melodic leading track ‘Bring Some’ alone is enough to showcase the mass amounts of talent that all three members of the band possess; with soft vocals, gorgeous guitar work, an addictive bass line and a drum beat you can’t help but head bang along to. It’s no surprise that the track has been a hit with the crowds during recent live shows and was chosen by Huw Stephens as ‘single of the week’ on Radio 1.
A slightly rougher sounding Nile Marr takes us through the fast paced lyrics of each verse in ‘Don’t Thank God’, introducing us to a rocking guitar riff before getting us hooked on the lyrics to the chorus (I genuinely had “I won’t fight it” in my head for days after first listening to this track!) ‘Don’t Thank God’ is a musical masterpiece; it’s instrumentally sound in a similar way to the track ‘All Mine’ from their ‘Carsick Cars’ EP which was released earlier this year on Record Store Day.
The EP comes to a beautiful end with the slower paced ‘Everything and All of This’; another vocally and musically pleasing track that bursts with emotion.
