Give Me Monaco is the moniker of Leigh Redding, the producer and composer who explores the electronic genres through a vast array of influences. His upbringing in brass ensembles and bands lends itself to the artist’s study of composition and his pursuit of unconventional results as he draws inspiration from the likes of Max Cooper, Rival Consoles, Christian Loffler, Four Tet and Bonobo.
Taken from the forthcoming album From the Coral to the Grey which centres around the concept of regeneration and exchange, the brand new cut ‘Satin’ focuses on the idea of rebuilding from a fractured origin. The track incorporates delicate organic elements with digital synthesis whilst glitching percussion is intertwined with natural acoustic based recordings. Sweeping, augmenting pads usher the staccato emphasised keys through the duration of the piece.
Through a delicately bouncing scene, Give Me Monaco delivers an intriguing sound. Uplifting in its sonic aesthetic, ‘Satin’ weaves blissful instrumental textures paired with layered rhythms to build a perfectly weighted electronic piece that drives you straight back to the replay button.
