Odin Smith, who some may know as Odiespice, is a San Fernando Valley born producer and DJ based in Long Beach, California. Over the last couple of years, she’s been building a bridge from DJing to producing which has inspired a dark, very honest and unique sound.
The producer’s blend between low end driven rhythms and meditative melodies radiate all things deep and energetic. With each project, she translates universal emotions to create a nostalgic atmosphere in experimental electronic music. Odin intends to give listeners something they did not know they needed.
The artist’s new single features a collaboration with vocalist and composer Kohinoorgasam, the candy themed track places emphasis on the importance of minimalism in music through sweet, sensual hip hop rhythms and mouth-watering bass-driven elements. Female vocals and ambient textures are key in Odin’s creative process, and through this release one may unlock their own passionate atmosphere.
On ‘Double Bubble’ Odin matched up her dark electronic production with the beautiful, haunting vocals of Kohinoorgasam. A stripped back instrumental arrangement allows the twinning of a snapping beat and ethereally unnerving vocal waves to create a neo-dark ambient world.
