Next up from the eclectic Los Angeles-based record label Namkyo, comes a spiritual and bass-heavy collaboration between the mesmeric vocalist/DJ Ombiya Ra and world-class producer Bryce Lamar.
Chosen to reflect the simultaneous dimensions of deep tranquility and intense power present within the music, the name Yemaya honors the Santeria goddess of the ocean.
The inspiration from the waves flows through the music. A gentle tide sweeps through a stirring pairing of guitar struck harmonies and a snapping kit while Ombiya Ra’s hypnotic vocalisations roll above as a swaying ship navigating the white-horsed seas.
