Hailing from a small town in Maryland, Madam Who? is an artist who returned to music in 2019 after some time away from her creative pursuits. Following a string of traumatic events including surviving cancer and leaving a long-term abusive relationship she felt the pull from the universe to draw her back to her artistic vision.
Resisting the urge initially, she eventually pulled out a notepad and brushed the dust off her guitar and became immersed in writing music once more, rekindling her talent and passion. Penning original songs to empower both herself and other who have suffered from abuse, she takes influence from the likes of The Beatles, The B-52’s, Bjork, The Go-Go’s, Lady Gaga and The Killers to craft her own rock pop style.
On a journey to love herself again, she uses her music to encourage others to do the same, writing catchy songs that contain important messages about self-worth to lift up the down-trodden. Performing her music live at Humanist and Atheist conferences all over the USA, her music has also been featured on TV, leading podcasts such as The Thinking Atheist and radio stations all around the world.
Following her debut single “We Wish You A…” as Madam Who? released in 2021, earlier this year she shared the title track from her debut album Reclaim Your Power. Now, bringing us her first record, she presents her seven-track release that showcases her anthemic songwriting and captivating vocal work.
With many of the songs being written when Madam Who? was in a dark place at rock bottom, they capture an optimistic feeling of recovering. Across Reclaim Your Power she delivers a hopeful and memorable record full of bright melodic writing and classic rock instrumentation on a stunning debut effort.
