Miami-born DJ duo Vampire Sex has just released their latest tech house EP titled Shock Therapy, featuring three tracks that showcase their unique sound and style. This EP, released via the Original Label imprint, is their latest release after the Love At First Bite EP and “Wanna Know Sumthin About Ya” that they collaborated on with AbueKev and Hotboxx through Original Label.
The first track of the EP, “Modem”, kicks off with a hard-hitting tech beat that is accompanied by glitchy and grooving sonic elements. A bouncy underlying bassline drives the track forward, while enveloping pads and playful synths add new layers of dynamism, taking the track to a new level of intensity. A phone line and modem dial tone sample serve as a breakdown to release the track to a seemingly never-ending and energetic dance party.
“Ledo (feat. Ledo)”, the second track on the EP, features a bouncy bass and steady beat mixed together to kickstart the track. Energetic pads and electronic tones add new colours to the soundscape, while playful vocal chops and the main processed vocals tell the story, all while the beat keeps the party going. With a refreshing and rhythmic vibe, this track will keep everyone on the dance floor moving.
Finally, “Elfrow” brings in a pounding beat and mysterious pads and synth lines that open the track. A steady offbeat leads to a striking and funky bassline that keeps the energy levels up. A train sample marks some disruption as a speaking voice conversation sample serves as a breakdown to release the track to an exciting new level. A darker yet energising vibe surrounds this track, which closes the EP on a high note, delivering a curated listening journey for all Tech House lovers.
Shock Therapy is an EP that showcases Vampire Sex’s skills and sound, demonstrating their eagerness and high-quality productions that keep pushing their own boundaries, and positioning them as artists to follow closely. Each track presents a different atmosphere, from the high-energy beats of “Modem”, to the playful vocal chops in “Ledo” and the darker vibe of “Elfrow”.
Vampire Sex’s Shock Therapy is a must-listen for any tech house fan who enjoys high-quality productions that deliver fresh and exciting sounds. The EP is a testament to Vampire Sex’s passion for music, and their ability to consistently produce top-tier tracks that captivate their audience.
