MAVAREL is a musical visionary hailing from Berne in Switzerland, who’s sonic output is anything but conventional. Under this pseudonym, he crafts music that defies traditional song structures, embracing uncompromising creativity. While his work stands as a showcase of his unique artistic expression, he draws inspiration from artists like Lorn, ARCA, Lapalux and Bonobo.
To date, he’s unveiled three EPs, each of which could be seen as a chapter in an ongoing story. With an affinity for transporting listeners into distant scenes of imagination, his sonic journeys lead them to uncharted inner and outer spaces.
Now, MAVAREL brings us his new single titled “Dissolved,” a musical voyage that plunges listeners into an enigmatic, dark and enveloping soundscape. The journey begins with an ominous bass synth, surrounded by swirling sonic textures, like a portal to the unknown. Overhead, fluttering synth tones buzz and whirl, conjuring a sense of anticipation.
As the beat kicks in, the energy of “Dissolved” becomes palpable. Bold bass lines slide and pulse, propelling the song forward into a world of experimental electronic allure. Stuttered synth shots and intricate reversed elements add to the hypnotic experience, creating an immersive experience that truly captivates the listener’s senses.
The experimental elements at play in this composition craft a soundscape that revels in unexpected twists and surprising sonic effects. With its multi-layered structure, “Dissolved” reveals new facets with each listen, inviting the audience to dive deeper into its complexity. The combination of the driving beat and the warmth of analogue bass creates an eerie, infectious energy, evoking a sense of organic depth.
Looking ahead, MAVAREL has an exciting project in the pipeline; the release of his album Consistent at the end of the year. With each release, MAVAREL takes us on a thrilling adventure through soundscapes that are at once mysterious and compelling.
