Coming out of Atlanta, Georgia, Jillian Loux is a rising star with a dazzling voice and a lyrical panache that belies her young age. At just 18 years old, Jillian has already crafted a signature sound that pairs thought-provoking lyricism with instantly addictive melodies, revealing a maturity far beyond her years.
Having music and creativity encoded in her DNA from a young age, Jillian Loux penned her first song when she was just 5 years old. With a vocal delivery that carries a hint of brooding intensity, Jillian enthrals audiences with her emotive performances.
Following a notable collaboration with award-winning DJ and producer Hayden James, Jillian Loux brings us her latest release with her brand new single titled “White Lilies.” Dubbed by the artist as a ‘classy diss track,’ the song thematically covers the realisation of a toxic relationship and the empowering decision to prioritise self-worth.
Serving as the lead single from Jillian’s upcoming five-song EP, set to drop next spring, the track introduces audiences to a musical journey shaped by collaboration with producer Matt Corby and co-writer Nat Dunn. With “White Lilies,” Jillian Loux serves up a shimmering indie pop sound cut with elements of alternative R&B full of laid back groove, bright synth-driven instrumentation and a silky smooth vocal performance.
Opened by the song filtering in, the first verse launches with pulsing bass guitar lines, intricate pattering drums, bright synth swells and fluttering textures as Jillian’s subdued vocal leads delicately dance above wrapped in a stretching reverb. Subtly biting lyricism are contrasted by the blissful aesthetic of the song, that offers catchy melodic leads throughout and a gently rising groove lifted by the snap of the beat and warm bass lines.
It’s a stunning new track from this thrilling new artist who’s sure to win over fans around the world with her alluring sound. With her upcoming debut EP on the horizon, “White Lilies” delivers a promising taste of what’s to come. Commenting on the single, she shares, “White Lilies to me is kind of a classy diss track. The song mentions various observations I’ve made about a particular friendship in my life and I’m basically coming to terms with the fact that the relationship is a bit toxic and it may be time to let it go. All love at the end of the day, but self love has to come first, which sometimes means cutting off people that hurt you more than benefit you.”
