Hailing from New York, BALD HEAD is the musical alter ego of musician artist [omitted]. With a penchant for long walks down the street, a want for everyone to be his friend and a commitment to audio sample clearance, BALD HEAD is a pioneer of avant-garde creativity and experimental sonic exploration.
Humour and sarcasm play a huge role in his artistic output, while his love of movies informs an intertwined pairing of his music with visual works. Having been sharing his original sonic vision over the last five years on Soundcloud, in 2022 he made his official entrance with his debut record The Bare Minimum, perfectly capturing the experimental style and avant-garde framing of his sound.
Followed up last year with two singles, “Veins” and “Bad B!tchez,” he dropped his sophomore album Gesfliqkous at the end of 2023. Now he kicks off the new year with a brand new release, bringing us his latest titled with the track titled “Loads of joy.”

Serving up a slice of uptempo noise rock, “Loads of joy” delivers a run through of his highly original musical world. Opened by the gritty crunch of a guitar riff, background vocalisations pepper the arrangement as the tinny rattle of percussive shots drive the energy.
Laid back lead vocals deliver atonal style lines as the song progresses with shifting rhythms and a breakdown of sonic cacophony resulting in a loud, erratic and memorable listening experience that’s at once challenging and unique. As conformity becomes more and more widespread, BALD HEAD remains an artist walking his own path of artistic freedom, daring all who lend their ears to embrace the unconventional and find joy in the midst of sonic disarray.
Crafted during the “Gesfliqkous” album sessions, the new single sees BALD HEAD start the new year with music that’s unlike anything else out there. Paired with “Loads of joy” is a music video shot by God Emely Castillo to add a blue-tinged visual accompaniment to the new song.
We caught up with BALD HEAD to find out more about his musical journey, his creative vision and his new single “Loads of joy.” Check out our interview with BALD HEAD below.
