New Music from Declan Knapp

Declan Knapp is an artist whose musical adventure began in childhood, leading to him flourishing as an innovative creator in the world of dance music. With a background in drum and bass, Knapp’s exploration of melodic modular synth has kicked off a new era of cinematic rave sounds with his experimental house and techno output being met with critical acclaim.

In 2021, Declan Knapp made his entrance with the debut single “Stay Awake,” quickly followed up with a string of releases including “Metanoia” which secured extensive radio support and earned the artist comparisons to BICEP. Linking up with artists such as Kloe Hunt, Sopp and Andrew Nak on collaborative releases, Declan Knapp has built up an impressive catalogue of music that’s struck a chord with fans around the world over the last few years. Dropping releases on labels including Nervous, Talamanca and Sorta Kinda Music among others, Declan Knapp has gone from strength to strength with each move.

Now, with his third single of the year, Declan Knapp presents “Silver,” a reimagining of Silk’s iconic track “Quiver” released via the KLEC Recordings imprint. Filtering the original vocals through his own unique sonic lens, the producer crafts a mesmeric soundscape that blends deep bass lines with garage drums, resulting in an enthralling fusion of atmospheric textures and rhythms that thrills from start to finish.

Brought in by the soft bubble of synth textures, airy vocal samples usher in the snapping garage-style beat as fluttering synths dance around the mix. Shifting with pulsing bass lines, “Silver” serves up an immersive and energising electronic music experience full of grooving rhythm, crisp beats, a slick synth arrangement and silky vocal samples.

Dropping to a dreamy mid section soundscape, layers of processed vocal samples overlap before the punch of the beat delivers a burst of euphoric dance music. Equal parts hypnotic and driving, “Silver” sees Declan Knapp put his creativity and superb sound design talent on full display.
