Over the last five years, San Diego-born artist Bohardt has been making an impact in the music scene with his emotionally intense brand of alternative pop, stitching his own experiences into a deeply personal music journal. His songs often draw inspiration from the darkest of places, exploring themes such as toxic relationships, drug abuse and the perpetual pursuit for self-worth.
While these themes might not always be positive, they come from the heart, reflecting an artist who seeks to heal himself and others through his music. Music has always provided a sanctuary for Bohardt since childhood, illuminating a path forward despite numerous obstacles.
Now based in Los Angeles and linking up with renowned producer Stefan Mac, who’s previously worked with the likes of Young The Giant and Cold War Kids, Bohardt unveiled his original sound in 2019 with his debut single “J.A.S.Y.S.” Since then, he’s dropped a series of critically acclaimed singles that have racked up tens of thousands of streams.

Bringing us his latest release, he shares his new single titled “Tomorrow,” a song which serves up another display of his enthralling alternative pop sound. “Tomorrow” is a song that speaks to anyone who’s experienced rough days and wished to fast forward through them in hopes of better times ahead, shining a light on depression while offering a glimmer of hope that things will improve.
Brought in by the flutter of airy synth tones, the punch of the beat injects a mellow groove capped by Bohardt’s soulful vocals which drift across the atmospheric arrangement. Spinning silky melodies carrying poignant lyricism as the delicate sonic textures wrap around his voice, the track jumps into a dazzling chorus driven by the uptempo shuffle of drums, driving instrumental tones and infectiously catchy vocal hooks.
Instilled with the intricate rise and fall between the mesmeric, dreamy arrangement with hushed vocals of the verse and the danceable, instantly catchy choruses, “Tomorrow” sees Bohardt deliver a sensational showcase of his superb songwriting and thrilling sonic vision via an unforgettable pop jam with bags of commercial appeal. As he goes from strength to strength on his compelling creative adventure, Bohardt will no doubt continue winning over fans around the world with his captivating musical offering.
We caught up with Bohardt to find out more about his musical journey so far, his new single “Tomorrow” and what he’s got lined up for the future. Check out our interview with Bohardt below.
Hey Bohardt, how’s things?
Things are starting to turn around a bit so I can’t complain haha
What’s your earliest memory of making music?
I was 15 years old writing metal music with my childhood friends. Things definitely have changed since those days.
Which artists do you draw most inspiration from?
I wouldn’t say that my writing is inspired by them, but these artists inspire me to write more. Teddy Swims, X Ambassadors, and Charlie Puth
How else do you find inspiration for your music?
I usually draw inspiration from my own life events but sometimes I like to step outside of my life and write from another persons lens, fictional or real.
What’s been your highlight of the year so far?
Releasing my first track of 2024 – Tomorrow
What do you love about the Los Angeles music scene?
I love all the small venues you’ll find all over the city. Sometimes it’s a gutted clothing shop, or a hot spot like The Blind Rabbit and Silverlake Lounge
What would you say is the perfect setting for listeners to enjoy your sound?
I’d say with a pair of headphones in your room. There’s tons of ear candy that I’ve added for the listener and I’d love for them to hear it. But I’ve heard others say their fav place to listen to my music is in the car at the start of a night.
How has your own style and sound evolved since you started out?
It took me awhile to find my sound. I had a rough past and musically found myself drawn to more aggressive sounds and raw lyrics. But as I matured, I wanted passion to be felt in my voice and my lyrics to connect with more people.
Has your production process changed much too?
My production process is always evolving. I currently work with a producer named Stefan Mac and I feel our collaboration really brings my vision to light. He thinks in ways that are completely opposite of me and that’s something I’ve found that has helped me be the artist I am today.
Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?
I’d say it’s either Teddy Swims or Allen Stone. I have a love for soul and I just want to live in that world, even if it’s for a track or two.
How did you find making your new single “Tomorrow”?
This track was written about a year ago. It was a weird track for me to put together. I just got off one of my meds for ADHD and was really struggling to find happiness. But I had hope that I was making the choice and that the depression would subside. While things aren’t perfect, I’d say things are definitely brighter than they were.
What message did you want to get across with this release?
Just hold on. I know things can be tough , and it’s not easy, but things will get better.
What artist have you been listening to most recently?
I’ve been listening to a ton of Ozzy Osbourne and Sam Smith lately. Weird combo I know but my brain craves variety haha.
What’s the main thing you want people to get out of listening to your music?
I want my listeners to have a place to escape to. Whether you’re just trying to block out noise to study or struggling with mental health, music is medicine for everything and I want listeners to know that they can come here and just hang out for a song.
What’s been your favourite live performance so far?
I had the pleasure to play House of Blues main stage in beautiful San Diego California! It wasn’t as my current stage name but it was truly a memorable performance.
Who would be 3 artists to headline your dream festival? And where would it be?
Bruno Mars, Sam Smith, Teddy Swims and it would definitely be in San Diego – my hometown!
Do you have any advice for a new artist wanting to follow your footsteps?
Don’t stop. I know it’s hard. People will tell you it’s time to stop. But just don’t. Music is a beautiful thing and should always be explored.
Finally, what do you have lined up for the rest of 2024?
Some of the best songs I think I’ve written are coming out this year and I’m so excited to share them with all of you.
