Over the last few years, French-British duo Rose Rose has been making an impact with their vibrant fusion of disco, pop and electronic beats. Since their debut single “Sugar Hill” in 2020, the duo has dazzled listeners with their sound, dropping a string of singles, remixes and their debut EP, Eye to Eye, which crystallised their disco-inflected pop style.
Building on the success of their EP, Rose Rose has recently crafting their debut album while sharing an extended edition of Eye to Eye which different versions of the tracks. Lifted from the release, they now bring us two brand new tracks; the Night Version of their debut single “Sugar Hill” and Moonlight version of “Sky Queen.” Serving up two new reworks of their tracks, Rose Rose once again showcase their knack for re-imagining their sound in new ways.
“Sugar Hill (Night Version)” has already secured extensive radio support with its shimmering disco groove and infectiously catchy vocal leads. Snapping drums, soft synth swells and intricate funk guitar work all underpin soulful vocal leads on this instantly memorable jam that sees the duo apply a more electronic pop approach to the original version.
Similarly with the Moonlight version of “Sky Queen,” the track has received support from platforms such as BBC Radio 6, KCRW and Radio Nova. Above the pulse of a lively bass guitar groove and mellow punch of the beat, vibrant keys and smooth vocal layers combine to craft a charming indie pop outing that’s sure to put a smile on the face of anyone who hears it.
As purveyors of groove, armed with the songwriting talent and production panache to bring their music alive in colourful fashion, this exciting pair continue to deliver engaging musical moments. While they continue to share their stunning musical output, Rose Rose are sure to win over countless fans around the world with the release of their forthcoming album and we can’t wait to see what the LP has in store.
