Hey Antonio, how’s things?
Hi, I’m thrilled to talk to you and share my humble work with the public. Thank you.
What’s your earliest memory of making music?
From a young age, I’ve been crafting poetry and weaving melodies around them, a unique approach that sets my music apart.
Which artists do you draw the most inspiration from?
I am inspired by the melodic singers of the 1970s-80s in Spanish and by the English artists and groups of the 1980s. I am attracted by the special feeling of the lyrics and the mix of music.
How else do you find inspiration for your music?
I find inspiration by listening to my heart and imagining the situations of love, heartbreak, and difficult times that I have experienced. I express these in my music, thinking that they are situations that we have all experienced at some point in our lives.
How do you feel your experience as an actor translates into your music?
I believe that cinema, music, and fashion form a united triangle. My experience as an actor in my music is translated in the following way because I always say the same thing: I am an interpreter of the song. In a song, you interpret a story, and you have to feel it so that it reaches the heart of the public. It is the same in cinema and in the theater. I feel what I express.
What’s been your highlight of the year so far?
One of the highlights of this year has been introducing my work to new markets. I’m deeply grateful to the public for giving me this opportunity. Your support means the world to me.
What do you love about the Spanish music scene?
I like the tremendous Spanish ballads from the 70s, which were exceptional music in the Spanish language.
What would you say is the perfect setting for listeners to enjoy your sound?
A chilled setting emphasises the important thing: my lyrics reach their hearts, and if they reach one person, I’m happy.
How has your own style and sound evolved since you started out?
I have always tried to maintain my style more or less because I give each song a different instrumentation and sound depending on the lyrics, depending on what it requires. I don’t usually make a unique sound because each song is different and I like the public to hear the same thing when they see me perform live as on the radio or CD.
Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?
I would like to collaborate on a song singing together with Jlo and also with Andrea Jane Corr and Natalie Imbruglia
How did you find making your new album “Desde Mi Silencio”?
The making of my new album, ‘Desde Mi Silencio ‘, was an emotional journey, from the composition to the recording, and sharing it with my collaborators made it a deeply personal and team-driven project.
What message did you want to get across with this release?
The message I wanted to convey with ‘Desde Mi Silencio’ is simple yet profound. It’s about the importance of love and the power of listening to your heart. These are the foundations of everything, and I hope my music inspires you to embrace them.
What artist have you been listening to most recently?
I’ve been listening to a lot of music from various English artists from the 80s. I like it a lot and at the same time it relaxes me.
What’s the main thing you want people to get out of listening to your music?
Listen to your heart and forget about your problems for a moment; life is wonderful.
What’s been your favourite live performance so far?
One I made in a Mexican city because people got very excited and even more so in this time when love seems forgotten.
Who would be 3 artists to headline your dream festival? And where would it be?
My dream festival would be in London and I would love to see A-HA, THE CORRS and KATY PERRY headlining the bill.
Do you have any advice for a new artist wanting to follow your footsteps?
The best advice is for the artist to be himself, always listen to his heart, and respect the public, which is our life.
Finally, what do you have lined up for the rest of 2024?
I will continue promoting my album, recording my new album with songs in English, and preparing for the filming of a film for January . Thank you very much for giving me this opportunity.
