London-based singer and musician Vish is redefining the music scene with his own blend of Bollywood melodies and Western rhythms. Often seen performing on the streets of the UK, Vish has earned a reputation as the world’s first Bollywood busker. With a social media presence that rivals some of the biggest names in the industry, he’s been winning over fans around the world while his performances, whether on the streets or in arenas, carry an infectious energy, dazzling audiences far beyond the usual busking crowd.
Having shared the stage with Bollywood icons like actor and anchor Maniesh Paul, singer Ash King and rapper Badshah, Vish has confirmed his status as a rising star in both the UK and Indian music scenes. His social media statistics are staggering, boasting almost a million followers across Instagram and TikTok and more than 200 million views on his videos, making him a viral sensation. His content has even made an impact on major Indian news channels, spreading his influence across the globe.
Beyond the viral success, Vish’s performances have taken on cultural significance. Last month, in recognition of South Asian Heritage Month and the Independence Days of India and Pakistan, Vish orchestrated a powerful celebration in Piccadilly Circus. For the third year in a row, he brought together hundreds of Indian and Pakistani nationals in a heartwarming display of unity. The two-and-a-half-hour street performance saw flags waving and spirits soaring, as locals and tourists alike joined in the celebration of peace and camaraderie between the two nations.

His busking performances have become iconic moments in the UK, drawing attention from the elites of Bollywood music. Figures like Badshah, Ash King, Amrit Ramnath and Maniesh Paul have all been spotted at his busking spots, further validating Vish’s unique fusion of genres. His live performances have grown far beyond the streets, most notably with his recent tour alongside the renowned Atif Aslam. Vish performed in front of packed arenas, including a sold-out show at the Wembley OVO Arena, SEC Armadillo in Glasgow and the Mattioni Arena in Leicester. He also set to play as a special guest on B Praak’s upcoming UK tour kicking off in March 2025 at venues such as the Leicester Arena, Leeds Arena, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and London’s Indigo O2.
Musically, Vish continues to evolve, offering a fresh and innovative take on Bollywood sounds. His single “Friday Night” climbed the charts, reaching #6 on the Black Music Charts and #7 on the Commercial Pop Charts in Music Week. This breakthrough success has been followed by the release of “Doing To Me (PENGWIN & K Remix)” from his BELIEVE EP.
Taking the silky melodies and bright pop sound of Vish’s original version, PENGWIN and K build on the dance-focused sound to deliver a thrilling remix of the track. Packed full of energy and wrapped in atmosphere, Vish’s soulful vocals glide through a blend of pulsing synth textures, punching beats and slick drops, resulting in a euphoric dance pop music experience that’s infectious and energising in equal measure.
We caught up with Vish to find out more about his musical journey so far, his new release “Doing To Me (PENGWIN & K Remix)” and what he’s got lined up for the future. Check out our interview with Vish below.
Hey Vish, how’s things?
Things are going well. This year has brought many blessings and opportunities, and there’s still a lot more to achieve.
What’s your earliest memory of making music?
I began making music in 2020, following the lockdown. I learned music production through YouTube tutorials and produced my first track, “Telepathic Love.” Later, I produced a track for my younger brother, titled “Arrogant Jatti” by Justin, which was his debut Punjabi single.
Which artists do you draw most inspiration from?
I have a few favourites like Arijit Singh, Coldplay, and Michael Jackson, but recently, I’ve been particularly inspired by Sid Sriram. His ability to blend Carnatic music with Western styles has been truly impressive.
How else do you find inspiration for your music?
I listen to a wide range of artists, including some who are underrated. This diverse exposure helps me unlock new ideas and explore different creative possibilities.
What’s been your highlight of the year so far?
Last year, I had the incredible experience of watching Atif Aslam live at Wembley Arena. As I stood there in the crowd, I couldn’t help but think to myself, “One day, I’ve got to be here.” During a break, I was lucky enough to get the mic and sing a couple of lines from one of his songs though not on stage, just from the first row. Fast forward to this year, and I had the unbelievable opportunity to open the show for him at the same venue. It still feels surreal, but it’s undoubtedly the highlight of my year.
What do you love about the UK music scene?
The vibrance, and diverse range of genres that all compete and at the same time collab to create new genres like a melting pot of multiple goodies that you can’t wait to here what the next new offering will be..
What would you say is the perfect setting for listeners to enjoy your sound?
I recommend listening at 80% volume on your headphones, with some added bass for an enhanced experience, especially since my current tracks are all upbeat and club-style. The extra bass will really bring out the energy and vibe of the music.
Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?
Jonas Brothers
How did you find making your new release “Doing To Me (PENGWIN & K Remix)”?
After releasing the original version of *Doing to Me*, we sent the track to DJs across the country, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. The idea for a remix actually came from my producers, PENGWIN and K. They added the elements that were missing in the original version, and honestly, I feel like the remix could have been the original. That might be why I ended up shooting the music video for the remix version instead!
What message did you want to get across with this release?
To be honest, there wasn’t a deeper message behind this song. It’s really just something I wanted to create for people who love partying, clubbing, or enjoying music on long drives. It’s all about the vibe, energy, and giving listeners a good time.
What did you hope PENGWIN and K would add to the single with their remix?
A life to the song which I can see now. Tbh I don’t even perform original at my shows now. I’ve been performing Doing to me Remix only.
What artist have you been listening to most recently?
Niall Horan
What’s the main thing you want people to get out of listening to your music?
The main thing I want people to take away from listening to my music is an emotional connection. I want my songs to resonate with their experiences—whether it’s joy, love, or pain. Music has the power to make people feel understood, and if I can inspire or offer comfort through my work, that would be the most rewarding outcome.
What’s been your favourite live performance so far?
Opening for Atif Aslam at OVO Arena Wembley — the vibe, the energy, the rush — it was everything I expected and more. The experience became even more special when I had the chance to meet Atif and exchange a few words with him.
And let’s not forget his incredible band, an amazing group of individuals that makes up his band we had the privilege of getting to know during the tour.
Who would be 3 artists to headline your dream festival? And where would it be?
Jonas Brothers, Coldplay, and Arijit Singh — I love them all for their craft, even though their music is so different. Performing with any of them at Reading Festival or the Summertime Ball would be a dream come true.
Do you have any advice for a new artist wanting to follow your footsteps?
My advice to new artist is never stop believing in you. Take your work seriously. Practice makes perfect and never try to take shortcut just because you wanna become famous quickly. There is a time for everyone. Trust on God’s timing.
Finally, what do you have lined up for the rest of 2024?
I was meant to be supporting B Praak this September, but the show has been postponed. I believe it might be rescheduled for early next year, so watch this space.
Outside of that, we’re planning some street performances with notable artists and preparing to release new music.
