Hi Alex Cecil, how are you?
Currently in Japan to play in Tokyo and Niseko – feeling focused and inspired.
What are your main goals for your music this year?
To push boundaries sonically and reach more ears while staying true to my vibe.
Are there any new releases you’re particularly excited about?
Definitely! I have an EP coming out on Nein Records that I’ve been looking forward to. This one’s really special it’s definitely going to some waves.
Are there any dream venues or festivals you’re hoping to play in 2025?
Day Zero has been on my radar forever. London’s Fabric. Fusion festival would be insane.
What do you hope to contribute to the electronic music scene this year?
Something unexpected. I’m always chasing that “didn’t see that coming” energy.
Having released your ‘Hip Aliens EP’ late last year, which included a remix by EMJIE, can we expect any upcoming collaborations or remixes soon?
Yes! Have a remix of Devon James’s track ‘Brighter Day’ coming out on RVDIOVCTIVE and another I’m sworn to secrecy on.
I’m also cooking up a collab that bridges indie dance and tech house—it’s early days, but I’m hyped.
How do you plan to stay ahead of trends while keeping your music authentic?
By listening to everything and filtering inspiration through my own lens.
What new ideas or concepts are you exploring in your music this year, and how do you plan to bring them to life?
Think Hip Hop energy in a House context with Indie Dance vibes. It’ll be dancefloor-ready soon.
What’s a new skill or technique you’re eager to learn this year?
Mastering modular synthesis—I want to get weird with sound design.
What new strategies are you planning to implement to connect with your audience through your music?
More direct storytelling. Whether in track titles, visuals, or posts, I want my audience to feel like they’re in on the journey.
Finally, what personal milestones are you hoping to achieve alongside your professional goals this year?
I’ve just gotten into hatha yoga and I really want to explore it in a deeper way.
