Singapore-based singer-songwriter Bitty has spent the last decade forming a unique sound that fuses alternative pop with smooth R&B influences. A Boston Music Award nominee, she’s developed her talents as both an independent artist and as a songwriter for global brands like Vogue, Coca-Cola and Garnier. Her ability to blend soulful melodies with modern production has earned her a growing international audience, with her music striking a chord with listeners around the world.
Sharing her solo sonic vision with the world over the last decade, she made her entrance in 2015 with her debut single “Haters Gon’ Hate.” Since then, she’s shared multiple well-received releases including two full-length records with 2016’s Beauty for Ashes and Better not Bitter which landed in 2020. Linking up with artists such as Dru Chen, Benjamin Kheng, Tim De Cotta, DAMYE, sesamii, Orumo, Axel Brizzy and Jessica Nathania, her discography is also full of impressive collaborations.
Now, she unveils her latest project with her new EP, Lost…, a release that offers the perfect snapshot of the latest chapter in her artistic story. Among its highlights are her second and third collaborations with Brooklyn-based Australian electronica producer sesamii, who previously co-produced her soul-tronica anthem “Fly.” while they were both students at Berklee College of Music. Already making an instant impact, the EP’s rollout has won over new and existing fans alike, clocking hundreds of thousands of views and streams online.
Opened by lead single “mango,” silky layers of airy vocalisations and breezy instrumental tones, Bitty’s delicate vocals bring the track into sharp focus as the intricate rustle of percussive shots adds a mellow rhythmic groove. Flowing with pop-focused melodies delivered via silky vocals, it’s a charming acoustic jam that’s memorable and truly impossible not to love.
“passing place,” the first track on the EP featuring sesamii, brings the laid back punch of a beat, grooving basslines and utterly alluring soulful vocals, casting a dreamy listening experience from start to finish. Wrapped in a shimmering aesthetic of colourful synths and strings and driven by the steady patter of drums, it’s a dazzling outing that puts Bitty and sesamii’s prolific creative chemistry on full display.

Linking again on “circadian rhythm,” the pair lay down a stunning R&B inflected track brimming with blissful melodic leads and bubbling synth textures. Carried by a gentle rhythmic sway, the graceful ebb and flow of the arrangement underpins Bitty’s elegant vocal performance as she stitches mesmeric lines into the immersive musical fabric.
Closing the EP with “quicksand,” the slick pulse of smooth rhythms and jazz-tinged instrumentation capped by soulful vocals results in a hypnotic sound that’s thoroughly original and entirely enjoyable throughout. It’s a sensational showcase of Bitty’s creative flair and knack for bringing to life her compelling songwriting in an engaging fashion. Across the four tracks on Lost…, Bitty delivers a stellar fusion of indie pop, alternative R&B, neo-soul and jazz to forge a sound that’s wholly her own and guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
