Hailing from the port city of Gdynia on Poland’s Baltic coast, Herbiarz is an artist who distils the spirit of persistence, independence and pure creativity. A rising figure in the Polish music scene, he plies his trade as a rapper, composer, engineer, producer, writer and entrepreneur, the kind of artist who doesn’t just walk the path, but builds it as he goes. Having taken his first freestyle steps in 2013 and recorded his first tracks by 2017, Herbiarz has since grown into a prominent figure in the local hip hop landscape, known as much for his lyrical conviction as for his DIY ethos.
A champion of his own voice and vision, Herbiarz is the founder of Introdukcja Records, a Tricity-based label that not only anchors his independent streak but also serves as a platform for his distinct sonic identity. His adventure as an artist has been hands-on from the start; since late 2021, he’s taken complete control over the production of his music, creating his own beats and engineering his tracks, further confirming his status as a self-sustaining creative force.
The accolades speak for themselves, he’s a winner of Poland’s Battle of the Vase at Tubaza, as well as the second Belchatow Hip-Hop Review, testing his skills in the fire of live performance and coming out winning. With dozens of concerts behind him and an ever-expanding discography that includes six official albums, his trajectory is not only defined by consistency, but by a hunger to continually develop.
Radio stations have taken note and his music has been featured on platforms like Radio Gdańsk, Radio Tczew, RMF FM, RMF MAXX and Radio Eska while his single “Hello” cracked the Top 100 within a week of release, bolstered by over 1,500 listener votes from around the globe. This level of engagement reflects not only a growing international appeal, but the impact of his message, his energy and his wide appeal.
Now, Herbiarz returns with his latest body of work, the five-track EP titled Głód Sukcesu, translated as “Hunger for Success,” a title that doubles as both statement and theme. The project captures the fruits of his journey so far, with ambition sharpened by struggle and confidence forged through experience. Jumping in with “Łykaj Moją Pięść,” soft, airy piano tones are met with the rattle of hi hat as Herbiarz’s slick rapped flows roll in to spin razor-sharp bars above the snapping beat and bright instrumental flickers. Putting his vocal flair on full display, his expressive delivery bends between biting flow and hook-focused bounce, resulting in a gripping rap track that’s grooving and engaging throughout.

“Grupy Wpływu” slows the energy with a laid back groove and pulsing instrumentation as Herbiarz lays down smooth vocal work above. Casting a dark and moody atmosphere, buzzy synth lines pepper the arrangement with brooding, colourful dashes to offer an engrossing jam that’s at once disorienting and memorable in equal measure. With “Hajs,” the intricate plucks of instrumental elements and bright organ tones slip into a mesmeric rap groover capped by Herbiarz’s compelling vocal performance, showcasing his sonic range via an intriguing outing unlike anything else.
With “Witam,” he brings deep bass lines and punchy percussion, contrasted by the delicate touch of vibrant instrumental sweeps and twinkles. With dynamic vocal performance, he serves up infectious hooks to create a theatrical alternative hip hop outing that offers the perfect example of his fiercely original sonic output. Closing the release with “Biznes Rośnie W Siłę,” he leans into a lively beat-driven energy where pulse bass stutter, tapped hi hats and shifting vocals collide to deliver a memorable finale to his superb new EP.
