Few bands channel human emotion with the intensity and cinematic grandeur of M.Nox; the alternative rock outfit that’s earning a reputation for crafting music that feels equally intimate and immense while exploring the context of personal growth, determination and meaning in a turbulent world. Their sound is a storm of feeling and impact, pairing powerful vocals, engrossing arrangements and emotionally compelling songwriting into something that breaks free of genre boxes.
The band is led by singer Manuel Nox, a frontman whose voice carries both thunder and tenderness. Born in Europe and now commanding international attention, his background is as varied as it is impressive, spanning opera, melodic hard rock, metal and pop, while his performances have taken him from European clubs to US stages. Along the way, he’s toured with legendary acts like Doro, Anvil and The Calling, proving that his art strikes a chord as much in the energy of live shows as it does in the textures of studio work.
After years of performing across continents and collaborating with rock veterans such as Jennifer Batten and StormHammer, M.Nox enters his most exciting chapter yet with his band set to release a new full-length album next year, a project forged through years of touring, experimentation and passion. Unveiling their sound in May with the debut single “Enemy,” followed up by the orchestra version, a collaboration with Epic Orchestra last month, M.Nox now brings us their most enthralling single thus far with “Last Chance.”

“Last Chance” presents a song that perfectly distils their vision, equal parts haunting and hopeful, it’s built on gripping melodies, intricate instrumental layers and profoundly personal lyricism, that speaks to the courage it takes to start over. Brought in by the delicate plucks of acoustic guitar as airy instrumental textures form an immersive atmosphere, soft vocalisations ring out before Manuel’s lead voice drifts in to stitch stunning melodic threads into the enveloping musical fabric.
Building with booming kicks and pattering percussion, the energy swells as the tracks erupts with bright electric guitar leads and punching drums, setting up a riveting alternative rock soundscape. Gliding with burst of rolling drums, crunching guitars and commanding vocal performance, “Last Chance” serves up an astonishing slice of M.Nox’s utterly spellbinding musical output.
Flowing through moments of dreamy aesthetic and bursts of explosive rock energy, the track delivers an incredible listening experience from start to finish. “This song is deeply personal for us. It’s not just music — it’s a reflection of our own experiences, fears, and hopes. Last Chance is about finding the strength to move forward, no matter how many times life pushes you back,” Manuel shares.
As M.Nox continues to go from strength to strength with each release, this thrilling band is sure to win over fans around the world and having made an impressive entrance on their breakout year, we can’t wait to see what their debut album has in store. We caught up with M.Nox to find out more about his musical journey so far, his new single “Last Chance” and what he’s got lined up for the future. Check out our interview with M.Nox below.
How did you get together as a band?
The band M.Nox was founded by the remaining members of the U.S. rock band Living Dead Stars, together with the collaboration of a close friend, Dan Rose of Anaal Nathrakh, who has been a longtime friend of Ashley Guest. Ashley, the drummer of M.Nox, was also the drummer for Living Dead Stars and continues to be my drummer in the power metal band Stormhammer.
Due to a major gig in Lithuania, we asked Dan if he would be willing to play with us for the show. He enjoyed it so much that he decided to join M.Nox whenever he is available.
On second guitar, we have my longtime friend and former guitarist of Living Dead Stars, Spencer Jordan Conley, who recently relocated from California to Nashville. On bass, we have Edwin Sealey, also known as Shreddwin, who handled bass duties during Living Dead Stars’ last UK tour with Anvil.
How do you find inspiration for your music?
That’s an easy one. In everyday life, I am fortunate to travel a lot, which allows me to observe the world from different perspectives and in different places. The combination of what I see and what I care about is what inspires me, along with many personal topics and issues that most of us experience at least once in our lives.
What’s been your highlight of 2025?
2025 was all about preparing for 2026. We shifted gears toward releasing music, putting out our first song to test the waters, and laying the groundwork for live tours in 2026.

What would you say is the perfect setting for listeners to enjoy your sound?
It’s either being by yourself for the more personal songs or rocking out with your friends on a Friday evening to the heavier tracks on the album.
How has your own style and sound evolved since you started out?
Well, a lot. I come from the classical scene, which is where I started out before moving to Camden Town. There, my musical influences shifted—from Queen, Linkin Park, and Rise Against to Avenged Sevenfold and Hans Zimmer. These two influences, as different as they are, form the essence of M.Nox: movie music meets hard rock with metal drums.
Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?
That being said it would be Avenged Sevenfold
How did you find making your new single “Last Chance”?
Well, as the name suggests, I increasingly see on multiple levels that our planet is heading into more and more difficult situations. I even reached a point where I deleted all news apps from my phone. This is my outcry: we need to stop the things that are going wrong right now before we all go up in flames.
What message did you want to get across with this release?
This release reflects how I see the world and what I fear, and it should serve as a wake-up call for all of us. The message is clear: we must stand together as one, united against whatever seeks to divide us.
What’s the main thing you want people to get out of listening to your music?
I know you can’t really compare M.Nox to Linkin Park. They are a globally successful band, and we are just starting out. But I want people to feel what I felt when I first listened to Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory back in the day. Every state of mind had a track from Linkin Park to either lift me up or, by choice, let me sit in that state of depression until the sun came up again. That’s my wish.

What’s been your favourite live performance so far?
That’s an easy one: playing in a football stadium in a country I had never been to before, with my friends in Lithuania—that was one to remember.
With which 3 artists it would be your dream to headline your dream festival?
It would be Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Rise Against, and In Flames. That’s four—I’ve never been good at math, but the fourth band had to be mentioned.
Do you have any advice for a new artist wanting to follow your footsteps?
Yes. Don’t cave in if you hear a “no” from a label, agency, tour promoter, or PR agent—the list goes on. Never give up, take risks, and if you can afford to get on that flight to an audition, do it. These are the stories that end up being successful. No one ever won anything by playing it safe.
If you would need to introduce yourself in front of new audience that never heard about M.Nox, what would you say?
Hi, my name is Manuel Nox, and I front a band called M.Nox. If you want to hear what happens when you mix two genres that aren’t supposed to go together, give us a shot. If you see us live, the topless guy jumping into the crowd mid-performance and giving it his all every night—that’s me. Looking forward to seeing you!
Finally, what do you have lined up next?
We will release a few more singles this year before coming back with the album release next year, followed by touring in 2026.
