JK_Muzic drops debut single “On One”

Producer and songwriter John Knight, operating under the moniker JK_Muzic, first started makingmusic as an act of love, a father’s way of helping his daughter chase her dreams. What started 13 years ago as a mission to support her singing ambitions quickly blossomed into something more significant, as John found his own creative voice in the process. Armed with little more than curiosity and determination, he jumped into developing his sonic talents, mastering production tools like Cubase, Logic and Magix Music Maker while studying music theory.

Over the years, his private collection of tracks flourished into a diverse catalogue of genre-blending experiments that combine pop, dance and EDM in equal measure. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists including Pink, Sia, The Weeknd, Chris Brown and Rihanna, JK_Muzic’s sound sits at the crossroads of emotional storytelling and club-focused energy. His productions are slick yet cut with deeper meaning, based in melody and driven by rhythm.

For over a decade, his work remained behind closed doors, never shared beyond his home studio. That all changed after a life-changing experience at a producer camp in Atlanta, where he connected with a network of vocalists who continue to collaborate with him today. Those sessions marked a turning point, the moment JK_Muzic’s music shifted from private passion to public pursuit.

Now, he steps into the spotlight for the first time with his official debut single titled “On One.” The track serves as both an introduction and a compelling statement of artistic intent, distilling his journey so far; creativity born from dedication, shaped by emotion and realised through relentless experimentation. “On One” was created in the midst of an intense burst of inspiration during the COVID era, when isolation and uncertainty gave way to pure artistic focus. Those long days in the studio became a sanctuary, a place to channel energy and emotion into sound and while working up to 14 hours a day, he produced dozens of tracks during that period, with “On One” emerging as a standout moment via a song that captured the euphoria of creative flow.

Starting with the chorus and building the production around it, he completed the track within days, a process that reflected his intuitive approach to making music. Vocals for the single come from a collaborator he discovered online, another example of his collaborative spirit and ability to connect across borders and styles. With his first outing, he delivers a pop anthem that blends shimmering synths, infectious melodies and a pulsing dance groove, balancing reflection with engaging energy.
