Athens-based producer, singer and composer Vasilis Tsavdaridis, operating under the artistic banner One of Vas, has been tracing the contours of electronic music for over a decade. Born and raised in Greece, his creative journey has stretched from his early days recording in Italy with his band Dropeners to his arrival as a solo artist forging his own hypnotic universe.
Since launching the One of Vas project in 2019, he’s released four EPs and two singles, earning an international reputation for crafting music that balances energy with atmosphere as well as intimacy with vastness. Standing at the crossroads where the human voice meets electronic aesthetic, he forms a dialogue between emotion and technology. Drawing inspiration from both his Mediterranean origins and avant-garde electronic stylings, One of Vas creates immersive soundscapes that feel alive with tension and release.
His knack for bringing together organic expression with digital sound design has earned him collaborations with producers from across the world and releases on esteemed global labels, including All Day I Dream, the imprint founded by British house visionary Lee Burridge. Over the last six years, he’s won over fans around the world and clocked over a hundred thousand spins on Spotify alone.
Now he brings us his latest release with his new single titled “Low Key,” the lead track lifted from his upcoming debut full-length record, MIGMA. The new track opens the first window into what’s set to be his most ambitious work thus far, a record that expands on his atmospheric output while venturing further into the emotional and physical landscapes that define his artistic vision. “Low Key” draws heavily from the Berlin electronic scene, a city whose sound and spirit have long influenced Vasilis’ creative expression.
Opened by the warble of zapping synth textures, the stretch of a high pitched tone rings out as the soft patter of rustling percussion ushers in a mellow electronic pop scene capped by airy vocal leads. With crisp beats carrying a loose garage-esque rhythm and the wobble of pulsing synths, the track drifts with engrossing atmosphere as elegant melodies glide alongside absorbing instrumentation, resulting in a stunning slice of euphoric downtempo electronic music.
Casting a spellbinding listening experience from start to finish, with “Low Key,” One of Vas serves up an incredible showcase of his production flair and performance panache that’s sure to dazzle new and existing listeners alike. With his highly anticipated debut album on the way, we can’t wait to see what this exciting artist has in store next on his epic sonic adventure.
