DeepFaith is the shape-shifting project that’s built on creative collision, where art meets music, punk meets pop and the physical world blurs into the digital. The artistic banner of Australians Danial Stricker, of Midnight Juggernauts, founder of Siberia Records and longtime collaborator with Kirin J Callinan, Alex Cameron, Solange and Kelsey Lu and Byron Spencer, the acclaimed visual artist behind work for Troye Sivan, Lady Gaga, and Dev Hynes, DeepFaith operates in a world where everything is fluid and nothing stays still for long.
Their aesthetic, part transcendental techno, part avant pop performance, feels less like an art movement in a constant state of flux, taking shape as a project that balances DIY electronic grit with the sort of glamour usually reserved for the runway. They’ve taken their vision everywhere from underground Crypt shows to the Sydney Opera House, transforming the space with their Crypto Digital Opera. They’ve performed for Chanel, collaborated with Snoop Dogg, opened for Genesis Owusu on tour in the US and played alongside Jamie xx and The Avalanches.
Whatever the setting, DeepFaith’s performances dissolve the once rigid framework between sound, image and experience. Their 2023 single “DADDY” unveiled the world to this hybrid identity via a playful yet intense fusion of sound and concept that drew praise from PAPER Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, RUSSH and Office Magazine, along with strong radio support from triple j, FBi Radio and 3RRR. Beneath the colour and chaos, though, DeepFaith’s art is driven by emotion, presenting an exploration of intriguing themes and profound concepts.

Now they hit the ground running in 2026 and continue their thrilling sonic adventure with the release of “Y&I (Breakbot Dreamix),” a reimagined version of their recent buzzy dance pop hit “Y&I,” created in collaboration with French house producer Breakbot. The partnership brings together DeepFaith’s emotionally charged songwriting with Breakbot’s slick production flair which wraps the original’s baroque-inspired chords and intimate vocals in layers of classic French vibes.
“Reworking this beautiful and powerful song was a real treat. The original chords and vocals are just too good. Thanks, Dan for having faith,” says Breakbot. DeepFaith echo the sentiment, “We’ve always been huge fans of Breakbot. A classic French Touch on this track – we love it.” With the twinkle of chiming instrumentation and airy vocals, the track gently builds with steady forward motion as the punch of kick and pulse of bass sets up a dazzling dance scene brimming with invigorating rhythm, immersive arrangement and stunning falsetto vocals.
It’s not the first time “Y&I” has shapeshifted; since its original release at the end of last year, the track has travelled through multiple reinterpretations from collaborations with global techno artist Nina Kraviz to euphoric club nights in Berlin, Paris and Australia. Its accompanying video premiered on Rolling Stone, while the track earned a First Play on triple j and was named Pick of the Week by Ben Lee.
With the Breakbot Dreamix, “Y&I” enters a new phase that softens its edges while retaining its infectious groove and transportive melodic vibes. It’s an epic display of DeepFaith’s collaborative output and as they prepare for a string of European and Asian live dates, DeepFaith remain true to their mission of relentless creation.
