The journey for JAHVER finding his voice has always been about identity, emotion and creative expression. Born Oliver Moy in Florida to Chinese and Colombian parents, the 23-year-old producer and artist represents a new generation of creators who see no boundaries between music, visuals and storytelling. His rise from a self-taught kid with a camera to a digital-era polymath has been thrilling and now, under the name JAHVER, he’s stepping out on his own with a vision that’s at once profoundly personal and truly global.
JAHVER’s creative path began early; by the age of twelve, he was already directing and producing music videos, experimenting with composition, writing and sound design. Those early years taught him not just the mechanics of art, but the importance of vision and the ability to make something cohesive from chaos, a skill that now ripple throughout his output as a solo artist.
Before launching his solo career, JAHVER found success as a member of the boy group North Star Boys (NSB), a collective that built a passionate international following. As one of its core creative forces, he developed his skills in production, performance and audience connection, setting up the next phase of his artistic adventure. But in June 2025, he turned the page, rebranding as JAHVER and stepping fully into his own identity, a move that felt less like reinvention and more like revelation.

His sound, like his background, in based in modern pop, drawing on emotional context and cultural fusion, blending Western pop appeal with rhythmic undertones that nod to his Latin and Asian heritage. It’s slick yet intimate, designed to feel at home both in headphones and on massive stages while moving through genres, using texture and feeling as its compass. Now he makes his official solo artistic entrance with his debut single titled “Innocent,” produced by Riley Urick.
Penned during a period of personal transition following the abrupt end of NSB, “Innocent” captures the disorientation and reflection that come with loss, the type that isn’t just professional, but emotional. “When I connected with the production, it immediately resonated with where I was emotionally. The elements of the track reflected that moment in my life and gave me a meaningful way to translate those feelings into the music,” he shares. The song became a vessel for unspoken feelings, a way of confronting the uncertainty left behind.
Casting a spellbinding soundscape, immersive synth textures float as the crisp snap of punching drums usher in JAHVER’s expressive voice. Spinning emotive melodic leads and poignant lyricism, he crafts an engrossing slice of moving alternative pop music that’s infectious, enveloping and fiercely original all at once. With his debut as JAHVER, Oliver Moy is revealing a fully realised artist whose past and present coalesce into something spectacular and forward-looking.
We caught up with JAHVER to find out more about his musical journey so far, his debut single “Innocent” and what he’s got lined up for the future. Check out our interview with JAHVER below.
Hey JAHVER, how’s things?
Hey, everything is going well. I’m really looking forward to the plans I have for 2026. I feel very motivated and inspired coming out of 2025—it was a year of real change in my life, and I’m ready for what’s next.
Earliest memory of making music?
What got me into writing music was when I was 10 years old. My dad had me memorize the lyrics to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by IZ, then took the family to a restaurant with an open mic and had me sing in front of the whole place. At the time, it was one of the hardest things I had ever done, but I’m very grateful for it because it helped me overcome performance fear at a young age. That moment is also what led me into writing and producing music, and I still look forward to every opportunity to perform.
Who inspires you most?
Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, and Eminem. Their stories remind me that effort and time really do create something special.
How else do you find inspiration?
My upbringing wasn’t the most fortunate financially. Growing up in an RV and being homeschooled taught me that family is everything. Even with close to nothing, my family was always a motivating factor in my life to keep going.
Best setting for people to listen to your sound?
Either with friends, or alone in your bedroom looking up at the ceiling.
Dream artist collab?
Justin Bieber, The Kid LAROI, The Weeknd, and BTS. All dream collaborations.
What was it like making “Innocent”?
It felt effortless. Going into the studio with the amazing producer Riley Urick was as smooth as it gets. The melodies, the lyrics, and the production were very alive in the room. There was a lot happening in my life at the time, and being able to put it all into a song felt peaceful.

What message did you want to get across?
Real relationships matter. A true friend wants nothing from you besides the friendship itself—that’s what I learned and wanted to share through “Innocent.”
Who have you been listening to recently?
Right now I’m mostly listening to and producing my own music, but I’ve also been diving deeper into EDM and dance music recently.
What do you want people to take away from your music?
Inspiration and drive. I want people to feel motivated, but also feel seen and understood.
Favourite live performance so far?
Any show in Atlanta, honestly. Atlanta has a special energy. At my most recent performance there, I was crowd surfing and the fans went crazy—it was unforgettable.
Three artists to headline your dream festival + where?
Coachella — Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and The Weeknd.
Advice for new artists?
Music is art, and it’s very creative and emotional—but don’t forget the business side of music is just as important. Learn about it.
What’s next for you?
A SoFi Stadium performance. I don’t know when, but I know it will happen.
