Two forces from the darker edges of the electronic underground, Vermaya and Anthon are taking the sound of modern techno into new, immersive spheres. Both artists have earned reputations for their exceptional sonic output as producers who can truly transform a room with their live sets. Vermaya’s style is instantly recognisable; dark textures stitched into driving rhythms, where every detail feels at once impactful and intricate.
In the studio, his sound design borders on sculptural, shaping tones and frequencies into spaces that feel alive. Onstage, that same control filters into gripping energy, translating into performances that surge with intensity. His productions have already caught the ears of major figures across the electronic landscape, with peers and tastemakers alike waiting on each new release. It’s a deft balance he strikes that’s immersive but physical and it’s confirmed his status as one of the most exciting names on the rise.
Anthon, meanwhile, brings a different kind of force born from the early party scene, his relationship with electronic music has always been personal, a constant negotiation between light and shadow. Known for his ominous, twisted sound, Anthon channels his life experiences into his music, creating tracks that shake with emotion as much as rhythm. His sound sits at the crossroads between darkness and euphoria, in a space that invites both movement and reflection.
Over the years, he’s played alongside some of the scene’s most respected figures such as Sam Paganini, Boris Brejcha, Dubfire, Stephan Bodzin, Marco Bailey, Reinier Zonneveld and Victor Ruiz, to name a few, securing a reputation as an artist who can stand shoulder to shoulder with the very best while remaining entirely himself.

Now, their latest collaboration titled “The Future,” released via the Unseen imprint as the label’s twentieth instalment, captures pure tension, atmosphere and a relentless sense of forward motion. With “The Future,” the two artists converge for a release that feels like an emphatic statement of artistic intent. For UNS020, Anthon leads with the original mix, serving up a carefully forged sonic journey that’s equally expansive and hypnotic.
Built on a steady, pulsating groove, the track develops patiently, stacking synth textures and bass pressure into a rhythm that feels as mesmeric as it is invigorating. There’s no rush, no unnecessary ornamentation, just a slow, deliberate build that creates its own gravity, wrapped in immersive sound design to deliver an engrossing dance music experience unlike any other.
Vermaya’s remix of the track lays down a stellar reinterpretation that strips the original down to its essential framework, rebuilding it through a darker, more brooding sonic lens. Where Anthon’s version leans into propulsion and space, Vermaya’s remix amplifies the tension and explores the track’s moody undercurrents. Together, these two versions form a sort of dialogue, not as opposites, but as distorted reflections of each other. Anthon’s original reaches grasps for what’s next while Vermaya’s remix turns that gaze inward to study the shadows that come with progress.
We caught up with Vermaya to find out more about his musical journey so far, his remix of Anthon’s new single “The Future” and what he’s got lined up next. Check out our interview with Vermaya below.

Hey Vermaya, how’s things?
Good, thanks for having me. I’m starting the year in San Francisco, spending a lot of time in the studio and setting things in motion for what’s coming next.
How did you first connect to start collaborating with Anthon?
Anthon was DJing at a club in Beirut where I was playing the lights. We connected through that, then started sharing music over Instagram and stayed in touch from there.

Which artists do you draw most inspiration from?
There are a lot of artists who inspire me in different ways, Rival Consoles, Recondite, VNTM, David August, just to name a few. They all approach emotion and storytelling in a way that really resonates with me.
What was your highlight of 2025?
I traveled quite a bit in 2025 and took some time away from music to reset and touch grass. One highlight was spending my birthday in the Dominican Republic, it was a much needed recharge before ending the year and diving back into the studio.
Musically, releasing my Control EP on Unseen and seeing it reach the top 5 Melodic House & Techno chart on Beatport was definitely a special moment.
What do you love about your local music scene?
The diversity. Even though mainstream formats tend to dominate, once you dig a little deeper there are collectives and artists doing really strong work. That contrast keeps the scene interesting.

What would you say is the perfect setting for listeners to enjoy your sound?
Late nights. Whether that’s on a proper sound system, alone with headphones, or moving through the city. It’s music that works best when you’re slightly disconnected from everything else.
How has your own style and sound evolved since you started out?
It’s gone deeper and become more intentional. I spent a lot of time in 2025 shaping my sound identity and vision, so what’s coming next feels much closer to what I actually want to say. I’ll leave the rest for listeners to discover.
Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?
Someone outside electronic music. Linkin Park would definitely be cool. Their music had a big impact on me growing up.
What did you hope to add to the track through the remixed version?
I wanted to lean further into the future aspect of the track and expand on it emotionally, especially by building a more cinematic breakdown.

What’s the main thing you want people to get out of listening to your music?
A feeling. Something they can sit with rather than just consume and move on from.
Who would be three artists to headline your dream festival? And where would it be?
Kiasmos, Rival Consoles, Mind Against in an atmospheric space.
Finally, what do you have lined up next?
I’m working on new material that pushes my sound forward, along with an exciting project I’ve wanted to do for a long time. It’s something slightly outside my comfort zone, but it feels right. More on that soon
