Roman Cigan, better known by his artist banner ROMAN CIGI, has become a fixture in London’s electronic music scene by doing what so many attempt but few achieve, forging a sound that moves across genres while maintaining its identity. A London-based DJ and producer, he’s earned a reputation for musical versatility and technical talent, drawing from a vast array of electronic styles to create something entirely his own. From behind the decks and in the studio, Roman operates with the mindset of an adventurous artistic in pursuit of uncompromising creative expression.
He’s someone who’s not content to merely mix tracks but completely reimagines them, always exploring new areas of his sonic vision without losing touch with emotion. A member of both London Sound Academy and the Pete Tong DJ Academy, Roman’s origins are as robust as his ambitions are wide-reaching. His sound is crafted from a deep understanding of dance music’s many threads; house, tech house, techno, trance and progressive house, all stitched together through an innate feel for rhythm and atmosphere. It’s that range that\s secured him sets at iconic venues like Ministry of Sound and gigs in Ibiza, where his knack for reading and reshaping a crowd’s energy has become part of his character.
Over the years, he’s connected with a global network of producers, engineers and songwriters, including Ted Jensen, Eric Sneo, Brosso, Bailey Jehl, Cid Inc., Zac Tiessen and Sergio Del Lago to instil his output with a sense of collaboration, reflecting his belief that electronic music flourishes with an exchange of ideas crossing borders, styles bleeding together and emotion driving everything. He’s also the founder of Soundevote, his own record label, which serves as both a creative hub and a platform for his growing catalogue.

Since unveiling his studio sound in 2018 with the debut album The Beach and quickly following it with his sophomore record Dreamland, ROMAN CIGI has built a body of work that travels freely across moods and tempos. His music has clocked millions of streams worldwide, proof of how his sonic experimentation strikes a chord with listeners beyond the club space and now he brings us his latest release with his brand new single titled “HEAVENUS,” a melodic and peak-time techno cut that finds its home somewhere between the body and the mind.
Rolling at 130bpm, the track is primed for both impact and consuming dancefloor immersion; on the surface, the driving percussion, darkly textured atmospherics and steady rhythmic pulse form an enthralling soundscape. But underneath that physical energy and relentless forward motion lies something more reflective, designed not just to make people dance, but to make them feel, to turn the club into a moment of escape, a kind of emotional reset.
Thematically, “HEAVENUS” is a state of mind which Roman describes as a personal sanctuary, an imagined refuge from the chaos of everyday life and in that way, the track functions like an emotional mirror where every listener finds something different in its layers. Set up by the deep punch of kick and hazy sonic atmosphere, intricate melodic flickers glide through the mix as the arrangement gradually builds with sparse percussive shots and buzzy synth tones.
The synth melodies soar and dissolve, the bassline rumbles and somewhere between the two lies that moment of transcendence as spacey vocal samples seek transportation to the track’s conceptual sphere. Wrapped in slick sound design and stacked with Roman’s incredible creativity, with “HEAVENUS,” he serves up a gripping dance music moment that’s sure to ignite dancefloors and light up the airwaves across the UK and beyond.
