Rising from Luxembourg’s growing pop music scene, Debbie M is an exciting new artist who makes music from the inside out; delicate, honest and always tethered to real emotion. Her sound sits somewhere between poignant expression and refracted sonic light, blending the intimacy of singer-songwriter storytelling with the appeal of modern pop.
Now based between Luxembourg and the UK, Debbie M has been forging her own creative identity built on the slow process of turning uncertainty into strength. “My emotional home was always in pop music. It’s where feelings have more room and where you can talk about life in a more human way,” she shares, a context that ripples throughout her new project via a body of work that invites listeners into a space where imperfection isn’t merely accepted but celebrated.
Music has been the constant thread through Debbie’s life; as a child, she was always performing, singing into a toy microphone, inventing lyrics before she could even form sentences in English. That early love for performance led her toward dance and eventually musical theatre, a world where she developed her stagecraft and her voice. She went on to perform across Luxembourg, appearing in classical and theatrical productions and collaborating with prestigious orchestras such as the Luxembourg Military Band and the Luxembourg Philharmonic.

But behind the applause, the structure of classical and theatre performance began to feel confining. “I realised I was always telling other people’s stories,” she explains. Keen to tale her own tales, she’s now stepped out as a solo artist and makes her entrance with her debut single titled “Hold On To,” the cornerstone of this transformation. Penned during a songwriting camp in the UK, it marks the beginning of Debbie M’s next chapter while unveiling a delicate pop sound that’s at once theatrically-tinged and widely appealing.
Brought in by the graceful flutter of piano notes and stretch of airy string textures, Debbie’s alluring vocals drape intricate melodies over the dreamy arrangement to cast an enchanting sonic spell. Gathering gentle pace with sparse percussive shots and rising vocal energy, the song slips into a mellow groove as the pulse of bass guitar adds warmth to match Debbie’s magnetic voice. Dashed with twinkling instrumental flourishes and wrapped in a dazzling fabric of wholly absorbing melodic songwriting, it’s a truly stunning outing from start to finish.
With the march of rolling drum shots and bounce of flickering synth notes, the engaging ebb and flow of the arrangement rolls towards an anthemic finale that’s sure to leave a lasting impression with listeners everywhere. Having marked her arrival as an exciting new singer-songwriter in spectacular fashion, Debbie M instantly places herself on the map of must watch artists on the rise.
Commenting on her artistic journey, she offers, “I want to make music people can truly connect with. Music that allows me to tell my own stories without worrying about expectations, and to touch people on a human level.”
