In the murky borderland between pain and power, Luci Ferrum has found her voice and it sounds like the echo of a nightmare turned into fragile sonic beauty. Originally from Russia and now based in the Dominican Republic, she’s one of the underground’s most compelling new forces, a producer, singer and provocateur whose art captures the tension between emotional retreat and confrontation.
Luci first appeared in 2021 with her debut album Symphony of a Broken Mind and straight away, her work made an impression with its brooding fusion of industrial electronica, trip hop rhythms and darkwave melancholy. Self-produced and painstakingly forged, her sound became a mirror for internal chaos that whispered one moment and exploded the next. That intensity carried through to EXGF, her debut EP in 2023, which confirmed her as one of the most groundbreaking artists in the modern electronic and industrial music sphere.
Then came Post Mortem Invictus at the end of last year, a five-track descent into dark corridors that was equal parts autopsy and awakening, dissecting self-destruction, survival and revenge. Critics hailed it as a masterpiece of emotional realism, the sort of record that doesn’t soothe the listener but instead asks them to sit in their discomfort and find truth within it.

Now she carries that creative momentum forward into 2026, bringing us her recent single titled “Be Well,” returning sharper, louder and more venomous than ever. Laying down a drum and bass juggernaut disguised as a pop sugar rush, the track was co-written and produced with Boly Lingopoff, one of the Dominican Republic’s most accomplished drummers whose enduring career has seen him collaborate with names like Rita Indiana, Alex Ferreira, Toño Rosario and Auro y C.L.E.M.T., bringing a rhythmic sophistication that perfectly complements Luci’s unrelenting emotional force.
The track is a sonic paradox; bright, fast and danceable, yet wrapped in a sense of psychological collapse. Set up by the swell of pulsing metallic textures, gritty synth tones gently surge into a dark and brooding arrangement as Luci’s intense vocals hover above the enveloping musical fabric. Jumping with the uptempo energy of punching drum and bass beats, the gritty instrumental textures swirl around her voice to cast a gripping soundscape that’s energising, arresting and shadowy all at once.
However, buried within the aggression lies something more hopeful, a warped optimism, a stubborn refusal to give in, framing the sweetness of survival laced with the bitterness of knowing it never comes easy. It’s another incredible taste of Luci Ferrum’s wildly original musical output, offering a truly engrossing listening experience unlike any other. With “Be Well,” she continues to shape her mythology as an artist of extremes who understands that beauty often hides in the burn, that strength can sound like breaking glass and that occassionally, the only way to heal is to dance through the rubble.
