For more than twenty years, Pacho & Pepo have stood as the heartbeat of Bulgaria’s electronic music scene with their names becoming synonymous with deep, magnetic grooves and late-night euphoria via a sound forged in the country’s most iconic venues and carried across the world’s most respected stages. From Cacao Beach and Club CODE to Carrusel, Exe and Makalali Beach, they’ve become fixtures in Bulgaria’s nightlife, shaping its development from underground curiosity to a destination for serious dance culture.
But their impact stretches far beyond their home country when their local residencies quickly led to a global presence, with Cloning Sound Showcases earning them a reputation on the international circuit, particularly through their long-running residency at London’s legendary EGG club. Their sets have struck a chord from Miami to the Berlin underground, from Prague’s storied halls to the endless sunrise of Ibiza and wherever they play, they always bring a blend of energy, groove and a deep understanding of what moves a crowd.
Behind the decks, Pacho & Pepo have built a legacy of sonic flair and consistency, traits that have made them two of the most respected figures in Eastern European electronic music. Twice voted Bulgaria’s top DJs in both 2010 and 2011, their reputation rests not just on their performances but on the culture they’ve built around them. Through their E-Booking DJ Agency, they’ve introduced world-class talent to Bulgaria, while their DJ School has helped nurture the next generation of artists.

With releases on leading labels such as Stereo Productions, 303Lovers and Be One, their music has found its way into the sets of global icons including Richie Hawtin and Marco Carola. In their creative headquarters and production hub, MSTRDpro Studio, they compose, master and create not just their own material, but the work of countless other artists and labels. Now, the duo returns with a release that reaffirms their creative vitality with their brand new single titled “Maitu.”
Formed initially as an instrumental, the track began with the duo constructing a framework of groove and atmosphere dripping in deep Afro house energy. The rhythm is at once spacious and commanding, rolling percussion stacked with shimmering textures that pull the listener into the relentless forward motion. When they shared the instrumental with Sofyia Nzau, something clicked instantly; captivated by its mood, she crafted and recorded exclusive vocals written specifically for the project, turning “Maitu” into a collaboration that flows across language and geography.
From there, Pacho & Pepo reshaped the production around her voice, tweaking every detail to ensure the track landed as an absorbing sonic voyage, resulting in a euphoric dance music experience that’s energising, original and utterly spellbinding throughout. With “Maitu,” Pacho & Pepo once again stake their claim as exciting and truly enduring figures in electronic music with a single that’s guaranteed to ignite dancefloors and light up airwaves around the world.
