Across years of songwriting, collaboration and worship leadership, thurane has walked a creative path paved by devotion and musical exploration. Known for his work in Christian rock ensembles and faith-driven projects, the Phoenix-based artist has steadily shaped a career where music functions as both personal expression and a form of ministry.
His work stretches from band collaborations to solo recordings, all connected by a focus on spiritual storytelling and a steadfast mission of creating moments of shared reflection through sound. thurane first arrived as a co-founder of the Phoenix Christian rock band New Jerusalem, a project that helped establish his voice within the Christian music community.
The band’s output included signing to Gray Dot Records/Bulletproof Music-Bulletboy, a label recognised for launching the career of Third Day, placing New Jerusalem within a wider movement of artists bringing rock energy into faith-based songwriting. Alongside his work with the band, thurane also formed one half of the adult contemporary Christian duo Kenyon Grey, a partnership which broadened his musical vision by allowing him to explore softer melodic arrangements while maintaining the spiritual themes that run throughout his catalogue.
While performing has always been central to his identity as an artist, thurane’s creative interests have included contributions to film scores, as well as collaborations with both Christian and secular charitable organisations. Among these partnerships is his involvement with World Vision, reflecting support of humanitarian causes that parallels the themes of faith and compassion often present in his music.

The next stage of his journey arrived in 2016 when he stepped into the spotlight as a solo artist with his debut single “Over and Under” and over the following years, he continued to develop his sound through additional singles and eventually the 2020 authentic worship EP. Returning in 2024 with a string of well-received singles, thurane is now preparing to shares his upcoming single titled “Lift Him Up,” a release that brings together many strands of his musical background.
Influenced by artists such as Lincoln Brewster, Elevation Rhythm and Phil Wickham, the track pairs acoustic textures with rock-driven arrangements to create a rousing worship atmosphere. Recorded at Saltmine in Mesa, Arizona and Perfect Timing Studios in Phoenix, the project seeks to deliver an engaging listening experience designed for both personal reflection and communal worship settings.
Opened by bright strums, the track jumps with lightly gritty guitar lines and rustling drums cut with warm organ textures as thurane’s smooth vocals glide in to spin buoyant melodies carrying joyous lyricism. Flowing with stunning lead guitar work, invigorating pop rock energy and superb vocal performance, it’s an epic new single that’s sure to charm new and existing fans all over the world. Its release on April 10th will serve as a preview of a larger body of work, with both a forthcoming Lift Him Up EP and the planned Worship Servant album expanding on the themes introduced by the single.
