Based in Dallas, Amara-Fe’s creative tale begins in a place where music was a shared language, shaped by a family history in songwriting, performance and collaboration. Growing up surrounded by those influences, she developed an understanding of music as something living, something that carries emotion across time and space. Stories from her family played a defining role in that early connection and she often reflects on hearing about her uncle Eugene and Rene performing together in bands in Tulsa, Oklahoma, moments that captured the energy of collective creativity.
There was also the presence of her grandmother, whose work as a songwriter for Minnie Riperton revealed another side of the craft, showing how a song could extend far beyond its origin and connect with people in ways that weren’t always visible at the start. These experiences sparked a curiosity that encouraged Amara-Fe to explore how music is constructed and what it can communicate.
That context now sits at the centre of her artistic identity; her approach is driven by experimentation and emotional honesty, shaped by a desire to understand the relationship between sound and feeling. Avoiding any fixed formula, she treats each project as an exploration, allowing her sound to take shape around her storytelling, a balance that’s defined her output so far, where atmosphere and narrative work in tandem.
Her arrival as a recording artist came in August last year with the release of her debut album REBORN, a project that was followed closely by SHIFT, a second full-length record that expanded her sound. With further LPs Echoes and Calm & Chaos, she continued to build on that momentum, delivering a project that reflected both personal growth and a deepening engagement with her audience.

Now, with her latest album titled A Queen’s Ambition, Amara-Fe opens an exciting new chapter with an emphatic statement of intent, centred on themes of power, self-worth and identity. Across the sixteen-track album, her cinematic production, emotive storytelling and modern rhythmic textures are all present, but they are now framed within a more defined and commanding sonic space. The tracks carry an anthemic quality, built through stacked vocal elements and carefully shaped sound design choices that reflect both artistic maturity and a growing awareness of her direction.
Set up by “Moonlight,” airy guitar plucks and alluring vocalisations roll into a grooving alternative pop jam that flows with stabbing instrumentation, punching beats and expressive vocal leads to deliver an infectious outing. The elegant flutter of piano on “Rooted Love” follows to form a soulful soundscape that pulsing with laid back percussion and stunning vocal performance to cast a dreamy R&B-inflected scene.
Tracks like “No Games No War” serve up an enthralling sound of lively grooves and funky instrumentation of warm bass and bright brass tones capped by dazzling vocals to lay down a magical musical moment. “Fighter In Me” jumps with pounding beats and intricate arrangement as gripping vocals soar above to form an instantly catchy sound brimming with profound lyricism to offer an empowering pop anthem.
“A Woman’s Worth” leans into the moving thematic heart of the album, distilling Amara-Fe poignant lyrical writing into a superb song that’s at once mellow yet powerful from start to finish. Closing the album with “Strength Of A Goddess,” Amara-Fe delivers a slick soundscape that rolls with crisp beats and moody vocals to present a thrilling finale to her sensational new full-length record.
