From the shores of Bali, Belyi & Kirr have been creating a sound that feels inseparable from their surroundings. The DJ and production duo have become a rising presence within the global electronic scene, drawing from the island’s hypnotic atmosphere and translating it into rhythm-driven, immersive productions. Their music carries a sense of movement that goes beyond the dancefloor, based in an approach that aims to engage both body and spirit.
Operating within the Afro house sphere, the pair have spent their time exploring its different corners rather than settling into a fixed formula. Their work balances melody with driving rhythmic structures, allowing each track to land with a sense of flow, a balance that’s helped define a shared vision built around creating music that connects on multiple levels. Their journey as a duo has been marked by steady progression; after coming together, they introduced their collaborative sound with the debut single “Good Karma” at the end of 2024.
The track’s success opened doors to a series of high-profile moments, including a standout appearance on MoBlack Records. That release not only climbed to the top of the Beatport Afro House chart, where it remained for a month, but also caught the attention of the label’s founder, Mimmo, leading to its inclusion on the 13th Golden Compilation vinyl. Now, Belyi & Kirr return with “Calinda,” a brand new single that draws on their spontaneous creativity to deliver an epic dance music moment.

Framed as a classic house anthem, the track followed the natural direction of its creation process which began in the studio during a moment of nostalgia, when the duo found themselves drawn to the sound of an earlier musical era. While searching for inspiration, they came across a track from 1982 that sparked the ideas that would become “Calinda.” From there, the track developed through a series of organic decisions and while wanting to capture the energy associated with brass instrumentation, they invited a saxophonist friend into the studio.
After an hour of improvisation, they gathered a collection of parts that carried the exact energy they were looking for and a vocalist friend, drawn in by the atmosphere of the session, contributed a performance that aligned naturally with the track’s direction. Throughout the process, the duo experimented with placing the track within different sub-genres, moving between Afro house, organic house and other variations. It captures a moment where nostalgia, improvisation and experimentation collide, resulting in a stellar house outing that’s sure to win over new and existing listeners around the world.
Packed full of bright instrumental textures, alluring vocals and the shuffle of lively drums, “Calinda” lays down a stunning house sound that rolls with infectious grooves, intricate melodic elements and euphoric vibes. Once again putting their creative flair and production talents on full display, with their latest release, Belyi & Kirr continue to build on their momentum with a track that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
