Coming out of Cleveland, Ohio, Frida and The Mann was formed in a basement back in mid-2023, a small, enclosed space where shared ambition and vision was forged. At the centre is Frida Mann on vocals, joined by Adam Cramer on guitar and Zachary Horstman on drums, before expanding to include Stefan Johnson on bass and vocals and Zack Asher on guitar.
Their first steps were built on spontaneity, resulting in a sound that flickers between alternative rock and indie pop, offering energising guitar-driven music cut with wide appeal. Striking a deft balance between melody and intensity, they take cues from a wide array of influences to deliver a highly original and thoroughly engaging sonic output.
Winning Best New Artist at the 2024 Cleveland Music Awards, they’ve begun to establish themselves as one of the city’s most exciting acts on the rise voices. The band has always had a steadfast mission to make music that people can feel, a simple ethos, but one that ripples throughout everything they create. The directness in their work makes a powerful impact, whether in the structure of their recorded songs or the way their performances carry an almost physical energy.

That philosophy finds a particularly vivid expression in their latest single titled “Anxiety,” a track that jumps into the overwhelming nature of anxious thought, capturing the constant noise that can’t seem to be calmed. Recording at Signal Flow Studios in Cleveland, the band worked with producer Chris DiCola, marking their first collaboration together. The sessions provided an environment that allowed the song’s energy and emotional context to be fully realised, taking shape in a slick rock anthem cut with memorable hooks and grooving rhythm.
Brought in by the stabs of guitar and punch of drums, the track rolls into a hazy rock scene where Frida’s expressive vocals glide above pulsing bass notes before the arrangement swells around her voice. Flowing with steady forward motion, intricate guitar work and impassioned vocals, it’s a gripping listening experience brimming with dynamic energy, engrossing instrumentation and profound lyrical writing.
Putting their songwriting talent and performance flair on full display, “Anxiety” sees Frida and The Mann serve up an epic outing that’s sure to win over fans around the world. As they continue to go from strength to strength on their thrilling musical adventure, we can’t wait to see what this incredible band has lined up for the rest of 2026 and beyond.
