Based in Oslo, Hanne Leland is a Norwegian singer-songwriter who’s walked her own path from the ground up, moving from early beginnings as a fledgling act in Nashville to a fully realised pop artist with an international reach. Clocking millions of spins on Spotify, her journey reflects both persistence and talent, a steady creative adventure defined by independence and an knack for reinvention.
A sense of autonomy has always been there from the start and rather than waiting for opportunity, Hanne created it herself, developing presentations for her project and approaching companies directly to secure sponsorship. That funding opened the door to Nashville, where she recorded her debut album Honest alongside top-tier musicians, including members of Taylor Swift’s studio band and a producer associated with Reba McEntire. Living in the city for three months, she immersed herself in its musical culture, performing at open mic nights in its most established country venues, developing her voice and presence in real time.
But Nashville was never the final destination and after I, her sound began to shift. Moving away from country, she leaned into pop, a transition that bloomed naturally through collaborations with Swedish songwriters and producers, resulting in a run of singles that felt more aligned with her changing identity. Handpicked as a special guest for All Saints’ comeback tour, she performed across ten sold-out shows in the UK, bringing her music to new audiences in spaces built for scale. Continuing to go from strength to strength, during the pandemic, she wrote and produced two EPs, before releasing her 2022 album The Art of Growing Up.

Now, with her latest release, she brings us her brand new single titled “Call You Mine,” revealing another side of her unique artistic vision. The track glides into a lighter, more playful energy, built on bright production and a dance-focused energy that thematically distils the early stages of connection. There’s a feeling of possibility that mirrors the uncertainty it explores, where excitement and hesitation exist in the same breath, offering an infectious pop jam that’s equally catchy and thought-provoking.
Opened by Hanne’s airy vocalisations, the staccato plucks of muted guitar notes and steady click ushers in her alluring voice as she spins smooth melodic leads. As the arrangement builds up, the track jumps into a lively outing propelled by danceable rhythms and cut with colourful instrumentation capped by her stunning vocal performance. Tinged with intricate guitar work and slick ebb and flow, “Call You Mine” sees Hanne Leland serve up a dazzling pop music experience that’s truly impossible not to love.
Putting her songwriting talent and performance panache on full display, with “Call You Mine” she delivers an epic showcase of her constantly developing sound while maintaining the charm that’s already won over millions of listeners around the world. As she continues to shine as a sensational pop artist with a compelling musical output, we can’t wait to see what Hanne Leland has in store for the rest of 2026 and beyond.
Commenting on the single, she shares, “I wrote this song a couple of years ago, and it’s about that lingering feeling at the start of a relationship, when you’re not quite sure whether you’re officially together or not. It’s that exciting, all consuming rush of falling in love.”
