Coming out of the quiet, mountainous landscape of North Wales, Efan Electro feels like an anomaly in the most exciting possible way. Still in secondary school and already building a name as both a DJ and producer, he represents a self-driven creativity that flourishes both behind the decks and in the studio. Based in a remote location, the distance from traditional club culture has only sharpened his focus rather than limiting it.
Inspired early on by the energy and imagination of dance music, he developed a connection to sound that goes beyond casual interest. His original sonic output has been driven by curiosity, building his skills through listening, experimenting and developing his own ideas and that sense of independence carries directly into his music. Everything is self-produced, shaped entirely by his own vision and growing technical ability.
Drawing from the pioneers of the late 80s, he channels warmth, groove and uplifting vibes into his productions, while still allowing space for a modern impact to shine. Confident and lively, his DJ sets capture the feeling of someone completely immersed in what they’re doing and that ability to translate feeling into sound has helped him quickly earn a reputation as an artist already capable of delivering something memorable.

Last year, he unveiled his studio sound with the debut single “Dyheadau,” returning this year with singles two and three. Now he brings us his latest release with his new single titled “Feel the Beat (Old Skool),” another energising slice of infectious dance music. Produced entirely in his bedroom, the track taps directly into the spirit of classic house, built on groove and a sense of movement that feels wholly absorbing and thoroughly invigorating.
Brought in by the rattle of shuffling percussion, the drift of atmospheric textures float in the distance as the arrangement builds up by bouncy bass lines and punch of drums. The warbling sound of spliced vocal samples jumps with spacey words which hover above the instantly gripping energy of the rhythm, resulting in a euphoric dancefloor moment that’s truly impossible not to love. Flowing through intricate build ups and impactful drops, it’s an epic jam that puts his creativity and production flair on full display.
Wrapped up with colourful synth elements and propelled by rolling beats, the aptly titled “Feel the Beat (Old Skool)” sees Efan Electro serve up an unforgettable musical moment. As he continues to go from strength to strength on his exciting musical journey, this thrilling young artist on the rise is sure to make a significant impact on the dance music scene of the UK and beyond.
