LED… drops brand new single

LED… have landed as an exciting new band with an origin story that feels immediate and unfiltered, shaped as much by timing as it is by instinct. Coming out of East Hollywood, the trio of Layne Olivia, Lockett Pentz and Edie Yvonne have built something that moves quickly and despite their ages, ranging from 15 to 17, their music carries an impact that forms somewhere between youthful energy and something more considered.

Their formation traces back to a film camp where the three first crossed paths and that brief creative overlap sparked something more sustained. Casual jam sessions turned into something real and the shift from experimenting to building happened almost without pause. Sonically, their work takes cues from multiple directions; punk attitude runs through the core, but it’s balanced by indie rock hooks while their lyrics carry an emotional charge that ripples throughout everything.

That balance becomes more apparent in their live presence and in a short span of time, LED… have already taken to stages across Los Angeles that carry their own histories, including Whisky a Go Go, Hotel Café and The Mint. These are spaces known for shaping careers and the band’s presence there signals how quickly they’ve moved from formation to performance. Capturing their live energy in the studio, their debut single, “Lies All Lies,” arrived last year, which was quickly followed up by their sophomore outing “Goodbye Eric.”

Now, in 2026, the band continues to build on that momentum with their third single, titled“Your Perfect.” Recorded during spring break between live shows, including performances at Whisky a Go Go, the track narrows its focus, revolving around the feeling of not measuring up, of constantly falling short of someone else’s expectations. It’s a theme drawn directly from the band’s own experiences, with Edie and Layne reflecting on the realities of high school life.

Brought in by the muted pulse of lightly gritty guitar notes, Edie and Layne’s laid back vocals enter above the mellow punch of drums to form an engaging pop rock scene. Gliding with steady rhythmic flow, the track takes flight into an anthemic chorus where floating vocal leads soar above a surge of driving guitars to deliver an enthralling musical moment. Instilled with poignant lyrical reflections and dashed with passages of stabbing instrumental energy, “Your Perfect” sees LED… serve up an epic musical experience that’s invigorating and meaningful in equal measure.

Reaching a thrilling crescendo of splashing cymbals, rolling drums and expressive vocal layers, the track swells to an engrossing finale to leave a lasting impression.
