Vasilis Tsavdaridis, working under the name One of Vas, has spent more than a decade creating an immersive electronic sound that sits between momentum and ambience. Based in Athens, his path into electronic music started by recording in Italy with his band Dropeners, building experience within a collaborative setting before gradually shifting toward a solo endeavour. That transition carries forward elements of those origins while opening space for something more personal, resulting in hi own unique sonic vision.
Since launching the One of Vas project in 2019, his output has been steady and considered; across multiple EPs and singles, he’s earned a reputation for music that balances opposites. Energy and atmosphere sit side by side, as do intimacy and scale, wrapping organic elements in electronic structure to amplify emotion through digital textures.
Taking cues from a wide array of inspirational sources, his Mediterranean background feeds into the warmth and fluidity of his sound, while a clear connection to avant-garde electronic styles introduces a more experimental aesthetic. Together, these threads form something truly enveloping, where tension and release become part of the same movement rather than separate phases.
Collaboration has also played a role in his story and by working with producers from across different parts of the world, One of Vas has reached beyond local scenes, building a network that reflects the global nature of electronic music. His releases on labels such as All Day I Dream, founded by Lee Burridge, have placed him within that wider context and over time, this has translated into a growing audience, with listeners engaging across multiple platforms and taking his work into an international space.

Now he brings us his most ambitious release thus far with his debut full-length record titled MIGMA, released via the Sony Music Greece imprint. Across eight tracks, it brings together the different strands of his sound into an absorbing thirty-minute experience, while still allowing for variation within that framework. Set up by intro piece “Get Warm,” the pulse of smokey synth notes drift through a hazy soundscape as airy vocal shots and the quiet taps of percussion form an engrossing atmosphere that gradually swells throughout.
The LP’ lead single “Low Key” then follows with, drawing influence from the Berlin electronic scene to capture both the intensity and openness associated with that environment. It begins with shifting synth tones, slowly building as subtle percussion enters, setting a steady pace as intimate vocals hover above to form a slick sound of pop-tinged electronic music that’s emotive, memorable and highly affecting all at once.
“Vuori” flows with misty vocalisations and the swirl of distant tones before the mellow boom of kick adds a smooth rhythmic anchor. Developing with the crisp of of hi hats, zap of synths and stretched vocal lines, it delivers a truly hypnotic listening experience that sits in the overlap between punching beats and dreamy arrangement. Other highlights include tracks like “Blooming” with its flicker of bright instrumental tones and tender vocals coalescing into a cinematic outing that showcases the balance between One of Vas’ avant garde stylings and melodic appeal.
With “Comfy,” the pulse of drums and stutter of chopped vocal shots floats into a shuffle of percussion and mesmeric instrumental loops while sparse vocal-led passages inject moments of consuming sonic bliss. Closing the release with “Blow Up,” the intricate rustle of the beat develops from a delicate soundscape towards a moody and subtly driving club-focused energy to present an invigorating finale to One of Vas’ incredible debut record.
