Based in Switzerland, Cossmo creates indie pop music that feels like fragments of a diary left open on a bedside table, capturing spiralling thoughts, moments of understanding and the complex process of learning how to let go. Existing in the overlap between melancholy and hope, his music carries the soft emotional context of pensive reflection while always hinting toward eventual healing.
His music focuses on emotional detail and atmosphere, wrapping personal experiences in dreamlike textures and gentle melodic warmth. Wistfulness and lightness flicker in his sound, balancing emotional fragility with a subtle sense of determination which adds an optimistic tone throughout. First introducing his studio sound in 2020 through debut single âfeel like home,â Cossmo quickly began building an audience drawn toward the sincerity and deeper meaning embedded within his songwriting.
Since then, he’s expanded his catalogue through a series of releases that have collectively clocked hundreds of thousands of spins online, establishing him as one of the more compelling rising voices within Switzerlandâs indie pop sphere. Momentum continued to build throughout 2024 with the release of the EPs airplane mode and stand still, both earning national playlist placements, Swiss radio support and critical acclaim. At the same time, Cossmo continued developing his relationship with live audiences through a growing number of performances, including appearances in the finals of bandXost.
After spending two years working alongside the Swiss label FM Music Group, Cossmo has now returned to full independence, a transition that appears to have profoundly shaped his current creative outlook. The newer material ventures further into acoustic textures and emotional intimacy, stripping away unnecessary layers in favour of something more direct and honest. Now, with the release of his brand new EP titled so much noise, not a sound, Cossmo delivers perhaps his most emotionally complete body of work thus far.

Produced by Cossmo himself and co-produced and mixed by Giuliano Sulzberger at Porchhouse Studio, the EP was written across the Swiss mountains, a campsite in the Netherlands, Cossmoâs own living room and sessions at the studio, carrying the imprint of constant transition and changing environments. Intro piece “welcome” pairs delicate piano notes, tender vocals and transportive found sounds, offering a soothing curtain raiser that sets up the EP.
“summer rain” lands with the upbeat shuffle of drums and bright vocals which float over warm bass notes and an intricate blend of piano and airy guitar plucks. Jumping into a catchy chorus where pattering rhythms and memorable melodic leads combine to form a buoyant sound, it’s a truly charming jam that’s impossible not to love. “home alone” slows things down to deliver an emotive outing where moving vocal performance glides through a stripped back arrangement that builds with punchy drums and rising energy throughout.
With “lost with you,” his hushed vocals paint poignant scenes of love and longing as soft acoustic guitar notes provide a mellow backing. The aptly titled “floating” flows with gentle textures, lilting rhythmic sway and alluring vocals to serve up a mesmeric moment that swells with layers of instrumentation and rustling drums capped by stunning vocal leads while “games” rolls with smooth groove as bouncy vocal lines hover above the pulse of bass and wash of dreamy guitar tones.
At the centre of the project sits âlike a river,â a song that distils much of the EPâs emotional identity, formed with soft piano, delicate guitar work and intimate vocals. The track captures feelings of self-doubt and overwhelming thought patterns, offering a highly affecting moment on the release. Closing the EP with “it’s not the end,” muted piano notes and warm vocals cast a sparse and beautifully heartfelt finale to Cossmo’s thoroughly magnificent new release. With so much noise, not a sound, Cossmo continues sharing a sound built on honesty, emotional nuance and understated beauty while offering moments of recognition and solace through songs that feel at once profoundly human and musically engaging.
