Alex Pagé is the artist behind Intensea, a solo project built from intensity and complete creative control. Writing, performing and recording everything himself, Alex approaches music as something profoundly personal rather than decorative and through Intensea, he channels emotion into sound, shaping songs that are reflective while reaching outward for connection. It’s a project based in honesty, driven by feeling and powered by the pure artistic conviction that only comes when one person carries the entire vision.
That vision draws heavily from the rock sounds of the late 90s and early 2000s; grunge sits at the centre, but it’s expanded through atmospheric touches that nod toward acts such as Muse and The Tea Party. The weight and drama in the sound is furnished with melody, movement and scale and Intensea uses the emotional directness and sonic force to deliver something compelling and truly original.
His relationship with music stretches back to childhood and he’s performed with both cover bands and original projects. That experience feeds the confidence of his output as Intensea. Now the project steps fully into view with the debut EP titled Eclipse, a three-track outing that introduces Intensea as an exciting new voice in emotional rock.
Compact in length but expansive in feeling, the release captures the various elements that define Alex’s approach, with grit and atmosphere, heaviness and reflection, tension and release all overlapping throughout. Entirely written, performed and recorded by Alex, Eclipse is a true solo statement that sees him handle drums, guitar, bass, piano and vocals across the record, constructing every layer himself.

At the heart of the EP is a journey of self-discovery and Alex uses his songs to explore how humans function and how emotions take shape. Eclipse becomes a map through uncertainty, feeling and growth, offering music that asks questions instead of pretending to have easy answers.
Setting up the release with the lively crunch of distorted guitar on opening track “Restricted,” the crash of splashing drums injects a charging energy before the track shifts as Alex’s commanding vocals enter. Backed by the patter of punching drums and twang of wah-tinged guitar, his powerful voice rings out above to craft a gripping slice of moody alternative rock music.
“Sweet Twilight” follow with the bounce of rustling drums and fuzzy guitar lines before gliding into a more delicate verse of melodic vocal lines and laid back energy. Flowing through riff-driven passages, a stripped back acoustic-focused bridge and an anthemic finale, it’s an epic display of his songwriting talent and performance panache.
Closing track “Lost Space” builds with jittery guitar leads and rising drums, launching into an exhilarating scene of pop-tinged alternative rock. Cut with melodic melodic leads, shifting arrangement and driving rock energy, it’s a thrilling conclusion to Intensea’s incredible debut EP.
