British-born and originally from the Birmingham region, Mark Moule makes music that values honesty and feeling over performance. Now he’s based in Busselton, Western Australia, where ocean air, open landscapes and a deep connection to the outdoors shape both his life and his songwriting.
Over the last three years, Mark has been building his name across the southwest region of Australia through live performances and open mic nights. Those smaller rooms have become proving grounds for songs based in sincerity and they’ve not gone unnoticed, with fans being won over from the stage.
Marl draws inspiration from artists such as Cat Stevens and Phil Collins, figures known for balancing accessibility with emotional impact. Like those influences, he’s interested in songs that connect rather than merely impress quickly and his work leans on heartfelt lyricism and melodies designed to last. He first introduced his recorded sound in 2024 with two acoustic singles, offering an early window into his stripped-back style.
Now he arrives with his most complete work thus far, bringing us his debut EP titled Only Love, a four-track release that prodives the perfect run through of his vision. The title track itself first came to Mark more than fifteen years ago and that long gestation gives the release a sense of earned arrival. These are not songs hurried into existence to meet momentum or trend cycles, they’re pieces that have stayed with him, waited, developed and finally found the right moment to be heard.

The EP was created in collaboration with fellow musician Andy McManus, whom Mark met on the local music circuit and working together from Andy’s home studio, the pair brought these long-held songs into recorded form. Setting up the release with “Coming Down,” the soft pulse of grooving bass guitar notes and steady taps of percussion is met by airy guitar flickers before Mark’s rich vocals glide in. Spinning mellow melodic leads above the intricate arrangement, the track flows with impassioned performance and slick bluesy licks, offering a smooth jam from start to finish.
Title track “Only Love” arrives with the patter of percussion as breezy guitar layers and drifting synth textures form an alluring soundscape. With warm vocals carrying picture painting lyrics via tender delivery, it’s a charming outing that’s heartfelt and timeless in equal measure. “Where’s The Money Gone” rolls with grittier vibes as crunchy guitars, shuffling drums and commanding vocals to showcase a livelier side to Mark’s vision.
Closing the EP with “Killer,” strummed guitar chords, soft drum taps and emotive vocals combine to craft an engaging slice of soulful, pop-focused acoustic rock to conclude Mark Moule’s debut EP in superb fashion.
