In the Brazilian costal city of Recife, the artist known as Krey Galin is building a rapidly expanding catalogue brimming with collaboration and cultural exchange. The project moves freely between styles and influences, shaped by travel, conversation and collective creativity, driven by a steadfast belief that songs should form naturally through connection. Local origins remain central to the project’s identity, yet experiences gathered abroad, including time spent in the Netherlands, have brought its perspective towards something more international.
Krey Galin’s vision sees music travel across borders, bringing together diverse voices and experiences as it moves. Language, identity and emotion overlap constantly throughout the work, never boxed into rigid categories or restricted by specific notions of what a single artist should sound like. Instead, the discopgraphy plays out as a conversation between places, people and perspectives, where curiosity becomes the guiding principle behind each release.
That openness extends directly into the creative process itself and while working alongside a dedicated team and studio musicians across Brazil, Krey Galin treats the recording environment as a shared artistic space. Songs arrive collectively, informed by multiple viewpoints and collaborative input that allows the music to remain exciting and unpredictable.
Despite being a relatively new project, Krey Galin has already developed an astonishingly prolific output. Making an official entrance earlier this year with the debut record All About You, the artist immediately signalled an ability to create quickly and with impressive results. Since then, a constant flow of EPs and albums has followed in quick succession, less like isolated releases and more like fragments of a wider movement.

That momentum now arrives at a significant milestone through the EP Tanong Mo Sa Girl Mo, a release that not only expands Krey Galin’s collaborative philosophy but also marks the first-ever Philippine collaboration for Elemental Entertainment Inc.. The project feels emblematic of everything driving the artist creatively, with openness, spontaneity and an ability to create unexpected bridges between cultures all echoing throughout the five-track outing.
For this release, Krey Galin partnered with a young singer from the Philippines who prefers to remain outside the spotlight. After overhearing a neighbour singing in the shower and initially mistaking the voice for one of their children, Krey Galin recognised something compelling in the performance and began building the project from there. Kicked off by title track “Tanong Mo Sa Girl Mo,” the EP starts with a shimmering electronic pop jam that rolls with punchy beats, alluring instrumental flutter and soulful vocals spinning infectious, R&B-tinged hooks above, resulting in a spectacular pop anthem that’s energising and forward-thinking.
“Pergunta Pra Sua Mina” follows with the playful blend of flickering guitar notes and colourful synth pips, gliding into a grooving scene of crisp percussion and instantly catchy vocal melodies. “Pregúntale a Tu Pelada” serves up a mid tempo groove where snapping drums and bouncy instrumentation are capped by expressive vocals to deliver an incredible Latin pop experience that’s sultry, intoxicating and fiercely original from start to finish.
With “Buza Intombi Yakho,” the mellow patter of the beat and muted instrumental tones sets up a slick outing packed full of call-and-response vocals cut with engaging English lyricism. Closing the EP with “물어봐 네 여자,” Krey Galin lays down a smooth jam driven by pulsing rhythms and bright instrumentation as captivating vocals glide above, blending between silky melodic flourishes and breezy rapped delivery to present as stunning finale to this stellar EP.
