Coming out of Hanover, Inception Of Eternity have been building a sound where gothic metal, metalcore, techno, symphonic drama and classic rock all collide inside the band’s world, creating something dark, emotional and deliberately oversized. Their music sees elegance brush up against aggression, atmosphere against impact, melody against energy, finding a formula that’s helped define the group since first arriving in 2020.
First unveiling their highly original sound in 2020 with the aptly-titled debut album Into Darkness, they followed up the next year with their sophomore record, Last Exit to the Past. Then came silence with a four-year hiatus placing the project into uncertainty via the sort of pause that can either end a band or force a reset. For Inception Of Eternity, it became the latter.
Last year marked their return, bringing a new frontwoman and renewed force through the single “Shadows in My Mind.” Bold, intense and full of energy, it signalled that the band had not come back cautiously. More material followed and with it came growing anticipation for a third album set to arrive later this year. Now they bring us their new single titled “Mother of Dawn,” a release that stands as a pure symphonic metal statement. No detours, no camouflage, just cinematic orchestration, towering emotion and a commanding vocal centrepiece.

That centre comes from Angela, whose performance gives the track its shape and gravity as her voice moves through the song with spectacular performance. The concept behind “Mother of Dawn” reaches beyond personal context; it channels the voice of nature itself, imagined as something ancient, relentless and entirely beyond human control. It’s an ambitious framing that suits the band’s scale-first instincts, Inception Of Eternity have always sounded drawn to larger-than-life themes and here they venture further into something mythic.
Opened by soft piano notes and airy flute-style synth leads, the strike of drums ushers in an immersive symphonic rock scene where crashing cymbals and crunching guitars inject a burst of energy. Simmering down the arrangement as Angela’s commanding voice enters, she spins theatrical melodic leads carrying profound lyrics as the instrumentation surges around her vocals. Stacks of guitars and graceful strings combine above punching drums to form a thoroughly arresting listening experience.
Reaching a dazzling crescendo of dancing lead guitar work and rousing rock energy, “Mother of Dawn” sees Inception Of Eternity serve up a powerful and wholly absorbing musical moment that’s gripping, memorable and anthemic all at once. Paired with the single, the music video brings the music alive on screen, featuring the band performing in front of various backdrops to deliver a spectacular visual offering that perfectly matches the song. With their new album on the horizon, we can’t wait to see what this exciting band has in store next on their thrilling musical adventure.
