London-based newcomer PeligoS TriP arrives as an artist shaped as much by place and people as by sound and creative expression. Forged from experiences gathered across London’s ever-shifting musical sphere, the project reflects a deeply collaborative endeavour while remaining tethered in a steadfast artist vision. As a songwriter, guitarist and arranger, PeligoS TriP has drawn together a network of musicians from the capital’s scene, creating a body of work that feels personal, expansive and unlike anything else.
Not so much operating as a conventional solo artist, PeligoS TriP functions as the centre of a creative collective, with two vocalists, discovered through mutual connections within London’s music community, bringing melodic character and emotional impact to the songs. Alongside them, a bassist and drummer sourced from the same network help shape the project’s identity, while a trusted co-producer assists in bringing the wider vision to life. It’s music informed not just by technical talents but by genuine relationships, shared experiences and a collective understanding of the city that helped inspire it.
That spirit now fully crystallises on ColourS, the brand new debut original album from PeligoS TriP. Conceived and arranged across London, Brighton and Vancouver, the record feels like a journey through different emotional and geographical spaces, with each location leaving its own imprint on the music, contributing to a release that carries a sense of movement and discovery throughout the nine tracks.
At the centre of ColourS sits a distinctive approach to atmosphere; ambient guitar textures drift through the album like weather systems, creating a sonic environment that feels immersive and often dreamlike. The guitars become part of the storytelling itself, shaping mood and emotion in equal measure and this unusual character comes largely from the innovative use of guitar pedals, which transform familiar sounds into expansive landscapes that stretch far beyond the traditional framework of the instrument.

Yet while the production and arrangements provide much of the album’s identity, the emotional context of ColourS comes from its subject matter. These are profoundly personal songs, reflecting different periods of PeligoS TriP’s life and exploring experiences that remain relatable, addressing intimate struggles and recognisable human challenges, transforming private moments into songs capable of connecting with a wider audience. Opened by “Food for Thought,” the drift of soft texture and pulse of muted notes is met by the transportive sound of seagulls as the rustle of percussion injects a steady forward motion. Building up a slick groove, warm sax tones flutter above the pulsing arrangement to cast a dreamy instrumental soundscape.
“Elevate me” lands with the flicker of bright guitar chords, snapping beats and warm bass lines before smooth vocal leads glide in to spin soulful melodic leads carrying storytelling lyricism above. With infectious rhythm and alluring vocal performance, it’s a superb jam that showcases PeligoS TriP’s pop-tinged appeal and songwriting flair. “ill be there” drifts with airy guitar tones before the laid back punch of drums brings the track into focus as atmospheric textures float alongside silky vocal lines to craft a stunning musical moment that’s truly impossible not to love.
With “Purgatory,” the soft bubble of guitar notes sets up tapped percussive patterns, intricate bass plucks and expressive vocals to serve up a mellow and subtly moody outing. “Prussian blue” filters in with delicate runs before the shuffle of drums and mesmeric vocals set up an immersive sax-inflected alternative pop scene full of twists and turns. “Vancouver” lands with the punch of drums and flash of bass before hazy guitar elements and intimate vocals combine to form a beat-driven soundscape that pairs marching rhythm with elegant melodies and absorbing atmosphere.
“Window” pairs spellbinding guitar tones and background noise before the rolling patter of drums kick starts a brooding sound that flows with lively percussion and captivating vocal performance. “Death Valley” brings pulsing groove, breezy guitar work and graceful sax leads to create an engaging outing capped by restrained and highly compelling vocals. Closing the LP with “Melancholy blue,” the crisp plucks of bass and sweeping guitar textures form an engrossing contrast before the stuttered snap of drums and enticing vocals deliver an enveloping final to PeligoS TriP’s sensational debut record.
