While some artists approach electronic music as a technical exercise, focused on impact and mechanics, there’s others who treat it as an emotional language, using rhythm and atmosphere as a way of connecting with people on a deeper level. Venice Beach artist Jimi Cracovaner, operating under the name of Jimi C & The Waves, firmly belongs to the latter camp. As a producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, his sound forms where human feeling and dancefloor energy coalesce, creating immersive soundscapes that have charmed listeners around the world.
Since unveiling the project with the debut single “Forward Future” in 2021, Jimi C & The Waves has developed a distinct creative philosophy based in positivity and connection. Drawing inspiration from melodic house and techno while adding in elements of indie pop, Jimi crafts what he describes as a “wave” of sound, which feels particularly fitting given the way his music plays out. Layers of melody, rhythm and texture gradually build momentum, creating tracks that carry listeners forward while always maintaining an emotional context throughout.
A significant part of that identity comes from his background as a multi-instrumentalist, which sees him incorporate synth work alongside more organic elements such as guitar and vocals. Over the last few years, he’s gone from strength to strength with his studio output, releasing multiple impressive singles that have clocked hundreds of thousands of spins online while placing Jimi C & The Waves on the map of must watch artists with an original sound. His brand new single titled “Let The Music Breathe” lands as part of an ambitious run of releases planned throughout 2026 ahead of a forthcoming EP and while it delivers the driving pulse and cinematic atmosphere associated with modern melodic house, it also carries a message that goes beyond the dancefloor itself.

Created in Jimi’s Venice Beach studio using analogue synths and live instrumentation, the single captures a sense of space through which grooves are allowed room to develop naturally, melodies forms patiently and the arrangement creates an environment where both rhythm and listener can breathe. Jimi was inspired to write the track after observing what he sees as a growing anxiety surrounding nightlife culture; increasingly, people find themselves reluctant to dance freely in public spaces due to concerns about being filmed and shared online. “Let The Music Breathe” responds directly to those concerns by serving as an invitation to rediscover the freedom that dance music has long represented.
Set up by the soft stabs of staccato instrumentation as the quiet rustle of percussion builds the energy, Jimi’s expressive voice rolls in with “come into this portal, I’m gunna shake the sea and when the waves start crashing down, you’re gonna wanna come with with me,” inviting listeners on an exciting sonic voyage packed full of grooving rhythm and moody atmosphere. Pattering drums, sweeping synths and buzzing textures all combine to cast a danceable jam cut with infectious hooks and absorbing aesthetic, resulting in an epic musical moment that’s energising, mesmeric and original all at once.
With “Let The Music Breathe,” Jimi Cracovaner delivers an intoxicating electronic pop track as well as a reminder of why dancefloors became meaningful spaces in the first place. As 2026 unfolds, “Let The Music Breathe” also serves as a bridge toward the next chapter of the project, with Jimi preparing to introduce a new hybrid live performance concept that combines live instruments, synths and vocals with the energy of a DJ set. It’s a development that feels entirely consistent with the vision he’s been creating since 2021, built on the idea that electronic music can be both technically engaging and human.
Commenting on the new release, Jimi shares, “Music, community and dance have been an incredibly healing combination in my life. It breaks my heart that the current generation is being robbed of that pure, uninhibited release because someone might capture an embarrassing video for social media. This song is about taking the dancefloor back. It’s an invitation to shut out the cameras, shut out the noise, and find the confidence to express yourself fully.”
