Perth-based singer-songwriter and recording artist Stefanie Passione has been building towards this moment for years. She first stepped into the spotlight at just 12 years old, making her solo television debut on Channel 7’s Perth Telethon, offering an early display of a performer comfortable in front of an audience which would be followed by further appearances for Telethon as well as a growing list of high-profile performances throughout Western Australia.
Over the years, she’s sung at significant events including The Welcoming Home Ceremony for Olympic athletes, performed as a support act for Johnny Ruffo and Justice Crew at the Perth Convention Centre and showcased her original music at the MNDi Soiree in the Crown Ballroom. More recently, she delivered the opening performance for the Wildcats MVP Ball, further confirming her status as a versatile and accomplished live performer.
While those appearances helped establish her presence on stage, her recording career has steadily flourished since her debut in 2018. Through a consistent run of pop releases, Stefanie has demonstrated a natural flair for crafting memorable songs built around infectious hooks and impactful modern production. With several original songs already released and more music continuing to arrive, she’s developed into an artist whose sound reflects both confidence and artistic growth. That progression has not gone unnoticed, with Happy Mag dubbing her “one of Aussie Pop music’s most dynamic emerging acts,” recognition that reflects the momentum she’s built through a combination of strong songwriting, engaging performances and a clear artistic vision.

Now, Stefanie opens an exciting new chapter with her latest single titled “If you want it,” a track that embraces confidence, self-assurance and empowerment. Following her 2024 release “Falling For You,” the new single marks a notable step forward in her artistic journey, presenting a more mature and self-possessed perspective while expanding her sonic output. Thematically, the track revolves around the push-and-pull dynamic that exists between chemistry, desire and restraint with Stefanie exploring the tension that arises when mystery and patience become part of the experience.
Blending Latin-inspired rhythms, soulful pop and R&B influences, finger-picked Spanish guitar and dance pop grooves, the song creates a sound that feels at once seductive and energetic. The production balances elegance and movement, drawing listeners into a world where attraction is explored through subtlety and sultry lyricism delivered via alluring vocal performance. Latin-inspired rhythms bring warmth and movement throughout, while intoxicating vocal leads flutter above finger-picked Spanish guitar to deliver a captivating jam that’s memorable, original and mesmeric all at once.
It’s a song built on confidence while celebrating the strength that comes from knowing exactly who you are and understanding the value of your own time and energy. “If you want it” ultimately focuses on feminine energy, self-worth and intentionality, encouraging listeners to think carefully about who they choose to invest in emotionally. With a growing catalogue of original music and a reputation as one of Australia’s rising pop talents, Stefanie Passione continues to go from strength to strength with each move and we can’t wait to see what else she’s got in store for the rest of 2026 and beyond.
Commenting on the single, she shares, “Overall I wanted to make a song that had a fun vibe to it, essentially capturing the feeling of being able to walk confidently into a room with a group of friends and knowing exactly the power and control you hold.”
