Now many artists arrive with an established identity as vivid as NINA, whose work has long shimmered in the overlap where cinematic electronic music, dark romance and hypnotic pop all meet. Across multiple albums and EPs, the singer-songwriter has earned a reputation for haunting vocals and a recognisable sonic signature that moves between synth pop, dream pop, electronic rock and nocturnal dance music.
Along the way she’s collaborated with artists including Kim Wilde, Ricky Wilde, Richard X and Radio Wolf, toured internationally, opened for acts such as Erasure, Johnny Jewel and Cannons and even appeared in the documentary The Rise of the Synths. Despite an already expansive catalogue however, her creative partnership with Radio Wolf feels like the beginning of a new chapter rather than a continuation of what came before.
Radio Wolf brings an equally distinctive vision to the collaboration; an electronic music artist, composer, songwriter and producer, he’s spent years developing a retro-futuristic sound that blends electronic music with rock and roll while retaining a cinematic quality. From his debut EP Rock n Roll Forever through to his soundtrack work for the feature film PROXIMITY, his music has consistently explored the meeting point between emotional storytelling and immersive sonic worlds. His previous production work with NINA on the singles âCarnival Nightâ and âGold Heartâ outlined the chemistry between them, but their latest project expands that relationship into something far more ambitious.
Jukebox Dream Vol. 1 lands as a collaborative album that transforms shared artistic obsessions into an entirely engrossing musical world. Revolving around what the pair describe as âelectro-jukeboxâ singles, the record combines Radio Wolfâs electric guitar work, slick synth arrangements, atmospheric experimental sound design and pulsating electronic rhythms with NINAâs captivating vocal presence. Together they create music that flickers between analogue nostalgia and futuristic imagination, through which the songs themselves seem to travel. Ghost lovers, moonlit adventures, starlit highways and untamed dreams populate the albumâs landscape, creating a listening experience that feels like a journey through an alternate reality.

The duo lean fully into their love of cinema, using atmosphere as a storytelling tool and allowing each song to function like a scene from a larger story arc. Opened by “Don’t Trust The Night,” the album kicks off with the ominous pulse of synth and dark atmospheric textures as the beat brings the track into focus. As NINA’s mesmeric voice glides above the bubble of moody instrumentation and punching drums, intricate guitar notes and delicate melodies coalesce into a dreamy synth rock soundscape that’s transportive, memorable and wholly absorbing from start to finish.
“My Dark” follows with a buzzy synth line and steady kick before jumping into a brooding scene of marching groove before making way for NINA’s expressive, breathy vocal delivery, taking listeners on a spacey sonic voyage unlike any other. Rolling with stabby synth elements and shuffling percussion capped by alluring vocal melodies, it’s a superb showcase of the pair’s songwriting flair and highly original sound.
The albumâs lead single, âTo See You,â perfectly captures the essence of the collaboration, highlighting the way NINA and Radio Wolf move fluidly between electronic and organic textures, never allowing either side of their sound to dominate completely. The crisp patter of drums and airy vocal leads flow with strummed guitar chords and layers of synths to serve up an infectious alternative pop anthem that’s sure to leave a lasting impression with listeners.
Other highlights on the record include tracks like “Galaxy Eyes” with its waltzing rhythm, elegant vocal performance and twanging guitar lines while “Cosmic Highway” gently drifts with gentle synth textures and intimate vocals, offering a dreamy listening experience that gradually progresses with mellow rhythms, immersive instrumentation and blissful melodies. Closing the album with title track “Jukebox Dream,” the crunch of bluesy guitar and hop of drums fades out to allow a blend of pulsing synths, smooth guitar elements and compelling vocals to shape a spectacular finale to the sensational collaborative album from NINA and Radio Wolf.
The project has already taken shape beyond the studio with NINA and Radio Wolf performing songs from the album across Berlin, Cologne, Paris, London and Amsterdam while supporting Cannons on their European tour. Those performances helped bring the musicâs transportive qualities into a live setting, allowing audiences to step directly into the universe the pair have created. Immersive, emotionally charged and fuelled by a shared passion for electronic music, rock and cinema, Jukebox Dream Vol. 1 captures two artists finding new possibilities within collaboration and inviting listeners to disappear into the dream alongside them.
