Based in New York, Italian producer, sound engineer and artist Coffeeshop has spent the last several years building a career that reflects both technical talent and a knack for emotionally engaging songwriting. Taking shape through the creative vision of Giacomo Alloesio, the project has flourished well beyond its electronic origins, embracing a style that balances slick production with uplifting storytelling and whether crafting festival-ready dance records or more reflective pop moments, Coffeeshop has developed a catalogue driven by optimism, connection and the simple power of memorable melodies.
His rise has been remarkably swift; between 2020 and 2021, Coffeeshop marked himself out through a steady string of original singles and remixes released on respected independent labels including TrapNation, Magic Music, Dancing Dead and LoudKult. Those initial releases also opened the door to collaborations with internationally recognised artists, among them American Idol star Robbie Rosen and Shiah Maisel, known for her work alongside Afrojack. The momentum continued to build rapidly, positioning Coffeeshop as a rising name within the modern electronic music sphere.
By 2022 he was releasing music through labels including Soave Records and Youth Energy, through which Coffeeshop expanded both his creative reach and audience, collaborating with artists such as Anikdote and Krmoni while attracting more than half a million monthly listeners on Spotify. Millions of global streams followed, confirming that his music was striking a chord beyond the electronic scene where his career first began. Partnerships have also played an important role in that progression and alongside support from leading independent electronic labels, Coffeeshop has linked up with Rob Aster and the independent label iDreamology.
His latest release titled “California Summer Dream” represents another exciting step forward in his artistic adventure and where previous collaborations with iDreamology often focused on offering hope during life’s more difficult moments, this new single embraces a different type of emotional escape. The track captures the carefree joy of a perfect summer day, taking listeners into a world where worries dissolve beneath clear skies and endless sunshine. Flowing around bright pop melodies while retaining the intricate production that ‘s become Coffeeshop’s trademark, “California Summer Dream” celebrates simple pleasures.
The single paints an idealised vision of the Southern California coastline, filled with glowing sunsets, boardwalk lights and endless opportunities for adventure. Propelled by the crisp snap of bouncy drums and cut with smooth vocal leads, the track serves up an upbeat pop jam brimming with playful instrumentation, infectious hooks and transportive lyricism, offering a magical musical moment that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face. That atmosphere extends naturally into the accompanying music video, directed by Eli Lev, which places viewers alongside groups of friends gathered on blankets watching the sunset, couples walking hand in hand along the shoreline and surfers enjoying the rhythm of the ocean all wrapped up in soft pastel colours.
Even as Coffeeshop continues to expand beyond his EDM beginnings, the qualities that first attracted audiences remain firmly intact. Whether delivering energetic electronic anthems or breezy pop releases like “California Summer Dream,” his music consistently reflects a belief in determination, positivity and finding light in everyday experiences. With an audience already numbering in the hundreds of thousands each month and a catalogue that continues to shine in both sound and ambition, Coffeeshop continues to go from strength to strength with each move.
