Not many electronic acts balance dancefloor euphoria with genuine heart as naturally as Los Angeles-based duo Crush Club and their knack for doing just that has resulted in a decorated musical journey. Formed by TC Milan and Le Chev, the pair have made in impression in the electro house scene by combining soulful songwriting, slick grooves and an infectious sense of optimism. Their music has always aimed higher than simply filling clubs, drawing from timeless pop appeal while channelling the energy and freedom that ripples throughout electronic music.
That formula has helped Crush Club become one of the most recognisable names operating in the overlap of house, disco and pop, even jokingly describing part of their process as making a disco song before sampling themselves. It’s an unconventional method that reflects the playful spirit running throughout their catalogue, while also producing tracks stacked with memorable melodies and uplifting emotion.
Central to their sound is an admiration for the songwriting of Stevie Wonder and George Michael, influences which can be heard in the duo’s preference for soulful vocal performances, warm musical arrangements and songs that feel just as rewarding outside the club as they do on the dancefloor. Crush Club first made a major breakthrough in 2018 when their single “We Dance” was selected as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World on BBC Radio 1. Their 2023 EP, The Sun, captured that philosophy perfectly, offering a collection of bright, uplifting pop anthems designed to lift listeners somewhere beyond everyday life.
Since then, their creative journey has continued to expand through an impressive range of collaborations; they’ve worked alongside LP Giobbi on “O Retha,” featured with Purple Disco Machine and delivered remixes for artists including Ava Max, Sigrid and SOFI TUKKER & Jake Shears. Their music has travelled far beyond streaming platforms and clubs with songs from the duo appearing across fashion campaigns, television and gaming, with placements including FIFA22 Volta, HBO’s The White Lotus and Apple TV’s Your Friends & Neighbors.

Now the duo returns with their latest single titled “Girl, Hold Tight (Marsha P),” a release that channels their uplifting outlook into a tribute carrying genuine significance. Dedicated to the trailblazing gay rights figure Marsha P. Johnson, the song also stands as a wider celebration of everyone continuing to fight for a better world. Through bouncy piano chords, shuffling drums, a pulsing bassline and soulful vocals, they create a dance pop anthem filled with warmth and positivity. Designed as the perfect soundtrack for cool summer nights, the track serves up intoxicating grooves and instantly catchy hooks to deliver a magical musical moment that’s impossible not to love.
Set up by the bright tones of piano, smooth vocal leads and steady percussive energy is met by breezy guitar flickers as the energy swells around the stunning vocal lines. Jumping into a pounding club-focused scene, the stomp of kick and throb of bass notes combines to form a gripping burst of energy capped by dazzling vocals. Progressing with the zap of spacey synth elements and propelled by the crisp snap of the beat, the track flows through an airy breakdown where tender vocal flourishes glide above the stripped back arrangement before building towards a thumping finale.
With millions of streams, an expanding international audience and a catalogue that continues to develop, Crush Club continues to shine as a leading electronic pop outfit with a compelling musical vision. “Girl, Hold Tight (Marsha P)” continues their journey with a sensational new single that’s invigorating, original and thematically meaningful all at once and we can’t wait to see what this exciting duo has in store for the rest of 2026 and beyond.
Commenting on the release, they share, “While we were making the song, we kept Marsha in our minds, not only her work in the movement but also her fabulousness as a trans superstar diva running lower Manhattan. Marsha P. Johnson didn’t wait for permission to exist. She demanded dignity in the face of violence and became a trailblazing force for the gay rights movement. This song is for her and for anyone fighting to make the world a little better.”
