Originally hailing from Lithuania and now based in Denmark, Aistė Barbora is an artist whose music finds its power in emotion. Blending elements of pop, soul and jazz, the singer-songwriter creates intimate songs informed by reflective lyricism, understated vocals and candid creative expression. Through her sound, she allows quiet moments to speak for themselves, resulting in music that’s struck a chord with listeners who recognise the complexity of feeling deeply.
Her musical origins stretch back to childhood, where she first explored music through both performance and study. Growing up in Lithuania, Aistė developed her musicianship by singing and performing traditional music with the folk instrument kanklės, experiences that built both her technical talent and her appreciation for storytelling through melody. That journey expanded in 2021 when Aistė began pursuing music professionally while studying at Vilnius College before continuing her education at The Royal Academy of Music in Denmark.
Surrounded by new musical influences and creative communities, she used the opportunity to search for her own artistic voice through songwriting, collaboration and experimentation. Working across jazz, pop and alternative music, Aistė participated in songwriting camps in Denmark and beyond, collaborating with musicians and producers from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Stepping out as a solo artist in February last year, she made her entrance with the debut single “Benamiai” before returning this year with singles two and three.

Now, Aistė has continued to develop her artistic output with her brand new debut EP, Lost, a four-track release that brings together the themes and emotions that have shaped her journey so far. Across the EP, Aistė blends jazz, soul and alternative pop into an intimate listening experience where soft vocal performances meet cinematic arrangements and profoundly personal lyricism. Among the EP’s highlight moments is “Still Bleeding,” the EP’s third track, which examines the emotional exhaustion of a relationship that feels impossible to resolve.
Framed through the vivid image of a courtroom without a judge, the song captures the frustration of conflict without closure, where hurt still simmer because there’s no clear understanding or final verdict. Wrapped up in an atmospheric indie R&B soundscape, the song starts with soft key tones as Aistė’s hushed vocals drift in to spin elegant melodies carrying metaphorical lyrics above the delicate arrangement. Casting an enchanting sonic spell, the track gently swells with the quiet pulse of percussion as airy instrumental textures swirl around her alluring voice.
Soulful, immersive and highly affecting all at once, “Still Bleeding” sees Aistė Barbora present an emotive musical experience that intricately surges to deliver a wholly absorbing sound before floating back down to an intimate close. It’s a stunning showcase of her songwriting flair and performance panache, offering a moving musical moment that’s sure to win over countless listeners around the world.
