Originally from Egypt and now influenced by years living in Spain, Itreu is an artist whose music reflects both movement and memory. Before ever sharing a release publicly, he spent years writing in private, using songwriting as a personal outlet and it was only after realising those highly personal songs could connect with other people that he chose to step forward as a recording artist. That decision has become the initial spark of a catalogue based in emotional honesty, where every melody and visual element exists to tell a story that goes beyond the music itself.
Drawing inspiration from both classic and contemporary Arabic music, alongside alternative and indie artists who prioritise feeling and storytelling, Itreu has developed a sound that feels at once familiar and entirely unique. His life between Egypt and Spain continues to inform his creative perspective, with themes of memory, relationships and personal change stitched throughout his work. His songs don’t land as isolated moments, he prefers to create complete emotional worlds by pairing music with carefully considered visuals and themes that deepen the experience for listeners.
That philosophy first arrived through his debut album, Negoum El Leil, introducing audiences to an artist seeking to create cohesive bodies of work. Now, with the arrival of his sophomore studio album titled Mafeesh Ba3deeky, Itreu expands that vision even further, strengthening both his musical identity and the visual storytelling that surrounds it. The new record explores one of music’s most enduring subjects, love, but it approaches it from multiple emotional perspectives as opposed to a single angle.
Across seven tracks, Mafeesh Ba3deeky moves naturally between heartbreak, hope, longing and healing, allowing each track to capture a different emotional chapter. While every song stands comfortably on its own, together they form a wider journey that reflects the changing emotional landscape of relationships. Avoiding presenting love as a fixed experience, Itreu embraces its contradictions, recognising the way joy, uncertainty, loss and renewal often exist side by side, resulting in a collection that feels less like a linear story and more like a series of interconnected emotional snapshots, each contributing to a larger portrait of personal growth.

The album mirrors that emotional variety through a rich blend of contemporary Arabic pop and alternative influences. Nostalgic melodies meet modern production techniques, creating a sound that shifts between intimate acoustic arrangements and more rhythmic, upbeat moments. Acoustic guitars, warm piano lines, atmospheric synths and layered vocal harmonies combine with contemporary Arabic rhythms to create arrangements that remain expressive and truly engrossing.
Throughout the record, production consistently serves the emotional core of the music; every instrumental choice feels carefully considered and whether the arrangements are understated or more expansive, they remain focused on reinforcing the feelings carried within each performance. The collaborative process behind Mafeesh Ba3deeky also reflects the care invested in its creation which was written and composed primarily by Abdelrahman Attia and brought to life through Itreu’s performances while developed in studios across Egypt, where each song was given the space to form organically.
That patient creative approach allows the music to breathe, resulting in performances that feel natural and emotionally convincing. A consistent production team including MJBeats, Sba3y Beats, Omar Maher and Ibrahim El Trabeshy helped shape the album’s sonic identity, with El Trabeshy also mixing and mastering multiple tracks. Their ongoing collaboration contributes to the record’s sense of continuity, allowing its varied emotional themes to play out within an enticing musical framework.
The most meaningful connection for Itreu however, happens after the music leaves the studio and among the moments he values most are hearing listeners repeat his lyrics back to him, a reminder that songs born from intensely personal experiences can find unexpected homes in the lives of others. That exchange between artist and audience sits at the heart of his creative philosophy and with Mafeesh Ba3deeky, Itreu continues to develop an artistic identity built on sincerity, thoughtful storytelling and immersive world-building.
